First thing first, the disclosure, I’m a UConn graduate, and a UConn fan. Also, I hope it’s OK to put this here as I did not want to start a new thread.

However, I’m fairly polite and fairly quiet, and extremely respectful when I am in an opposing team’s gym. (not true at Yankee Stadium, but that’s a completely different story.)

I intend to drive up from Granite Falls, North Carolina to Knoxville although I’m not sure if the roads are passable yet ever since our destructive storm. I have never missed a UConn - Tennessee game in Knoxville. This year I do not have tickets and I’m just mentioning it in case anyone had a lower level single or a pair that they would like to part with at a decent price. In the past, I also have never had tickets and just purchased them outside the venue the day of the game. This year with the game on a Thursday, and being a teacher, it will be difficult for me to get there early enough to do that. Just thought I’d mention this in case anyone needs to get rid of a single or a pair, even at the last minute. Thank you in advance.

Well, I did it again, got banned from the Boneyard for the second time. This time I was warned by “Husky Nan” that I was only allowed there if she “could stand me” so watch my p’s and q’s. This was her response to my reply to a Husky fan’s post that Jana Elfy and Ice Brady were the equal of Feagin and Kitts.

I thought my reply was measured and tame. Then her response came and I replied to her to pull the plug because she was an immature piece of work. Did I go too far? Ha ha .My Lord I enjoyed every second of waiting for her to pull that plug. The cult atmosphere over there was always too much for me to control my often times sarcastic nature. Apparently I don’t have the necessary self control to be in the cult.. 🤪

I won’t say I’m hoping for a beat down when UConn comes to visit in Feb, but I do. Same for when they visit TBA.

I use “Husky Nan” as a term of derision. Wear that banishment along with your other service commendations and ribbons!

I used to post there once in a while. Then I noticed that many of the more intelligent and articulate UConn fans were disappearing. I contacted a couple I had got to know. They and many more of the better ones had all run afoul of that sad pile of bitter ego, Husky Nan.
Keep in mind that I'm talking about UConn fans on the UConn board. Their “crime” was to disagree with the pompous moderator.

I have seen her remove people for posting political comments in response to political comments that aligned with her beliefs. The only ones that were banned were the people who had opposing views than hers. To be fair, they have a no politics rule, however, it should be enforced equally whether the people agrees with you or not. Power corrupts. Absolute power, corrupts absolutely.

You might enjoy this. The first time I was banned, SC had just played Uconn early in the season in a showcase event and beat them. One of the Uconn posters typed “I hope we meet them again this year”. Well, it so happens they were scheduled to meet again in the regular season, so I replied: “Oh you will meet them again” this year. Boom! Banned. The cult over there gets edgy when they lose a game ha ha.
