Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2024-25

Was hard to tell from the clips, but I do not think I spotted Teonni out there?

Has she been injured or something? Maybe she played some but I didn’t see anyone with her build in those clips. They were quick ones so it was tough to tell

Yes and UNC is a very young team. Would expect SC to have laid it on them pretty good. They are primarily Freshman and Sophomores. They have a couple upperclassman but they are not experienced.

I think UNC will be about a .500 team again this season. They have some talented players but they are young. The ACC will be tough again and I just don’t think they have enough experience to be a Top 5 contender in that league this season.
Hard to tell how an exhibition scrimmage went as you can get a different take from several different people Tennessee men played Davidson and got final score reports from Tennessee won by 25 all the way down to 6 quite a difference. At least everyone knew Tennessee won.

Two exhibition SEC games tonight. South Carolina takes on Benedict. Who you got in that game? Guess I'll take SC:eek::). The other SEC game is Mississippi State vs Mississippi College.

The last time they played Benedict was in their championship season in 2016-17. The Gamecocks won 120-49. Miss State last played Miss College the season prior, in 2015-16. The Bulldogs won 128-34. They finished 28-8 that season and reached the Sweet Sixteen....

Teonni was #13 at .16 of the video getter her shot blocked. I don't see how the clips made UNC looked good. The scoreboard showed what it showed and those pro South Carolina clips. I haven't heard or seen any from the UNC POV about the scrimmage except the initial reveal form Banghart about it.

Yes she got it black look like a foul across the arm to and the player that blocked the shot stands 6-7. I`m not gonna nitpick about this scrimmage and from what i`m reading it what a good scrimmage. It`s all good like your post.

Wonder how many years banghart gets to turn a Once Elite North Carolina program around? Remember, she was also looked at for the Lady Vols Head Coaching Job. Kellie took over a program that was heading towards rock bottom and been on an upward trajectory ever since and many of the quote-unquote fanbase think we should have on a national championship year 2. Just think if we would have gotten Banghart, people would be losing their minds right now lol

That's how i feel about our scrimmage vs NC St although they had a starter out.

i think it's good to go up against a well coached team

Hey, I somehow missed reading anything about what happened in the scrimmage against NCSt. Anyone hear anything? Obviously it was a scrimmage so there wouldn't be any stats or anything, but did anyone hear anything about general things such as if and how they ran a press or ran the floor or rebounded? Did the shoot and make some threes? Just general stuff. Thanks?

Team performed well, seemed connected on the court, heard you can tell we have more depth as far as pressuring the ball.

NC St was missing their center and another girl. Rae seems to have picked up where she left off and is a little more take charge like we have heard. Oh and Dye is magnet when it comes to the ball.

fairly well. They were missing two players but our team seemed connected with bounds of potential. Didn't hear about 3s of anything just heard defense was aggressive and shots were made.

Thanks for the reports. It was exactly what I'd hoped had happened. For the defense to be aggressive this early means the players are already in decent shape, which also means they didn't lay around collecting dust over the summer and got a jump on conditioning. And that is huge because I feel like this team's biggest strength could be getting points off turnovers and in transition because they're going to be quick AND have the stamina to do it. Kellie has several players now with, as she says, "big motors,' and when you have players with big motors AND determination, big things will happen.

Gonna be a terrific season!!!

Spill, inside info?
- Although we’ll miss Rennia, we’ll be pleasantly surprised by Dye’s contribution to the team

- As VAVOL mentioned Rae is way more vocal.

- Walker’s offensive game has took a step up

- We’re faster and making a lot more buckets than usual!

- Wynn and Puckett will make immediate impacts on the offensive side of the ball

- Our depth will be our strongest asset

- Emily and Rennie look the same as last year :( Emily looks a little worse.

But hey…..this is alllllll hearsay! I haven’t witnessed anything with my own eyes.

How do you get a shooters touch back🤔because Rennie is a shooter as she demonstrated in her freshmen year
