I've never understood why some of them are always wanting to act like Geno has never went all out in everyway to get a recruit and lost. To them they don't want to ever admit failure with him even when it is true. It has happened to every coach usually more so in the early years of when they are first hired. All the top coaches of today had a lot of misses their first three or five seasons when they first took a job. This is a fact that some posters who bring up recruiting choose to ignore.

They are afraid Geno is slipping. They are afraid of the impending decline of their program as he approaches the end and ends his career.

Currently watching UCONN versus what they claim the “Nations 4th best D2” school aka a disclaimer in case they stink LOL . The way they dogged us no pun intended after our exhibition you would think they would be head and shoulders above the field!!! Definitely think this team is overrated they can shoot it but THATS IT . Their post game is still weak no way Dorka Or ONO along with Edwards can stop Cardoso or Boston Or Amihere or Saxton no contest!

Watching also and my thoughts are the team they are playing looks no more talented than the one we played. Bunch of small white girls that are playing them fairly well. SC looks like they will dominate UConn inside so it will be a must for their perimeter players to have great games.

She does it every year. Only reason it’s in an article this year is because there are so many players and she was asked about it. Destanni Henderson was the top PG in her class and didn’t start until she was a Jr. These girls know what they signed up for. I saw the exhibition. The freshmen are all very, very good. Rivers and Johnson are going to be stars. They’ll get their PT.

Have to figure at least a couple of the freshmen went there knowing there was a strong chance they wouldn't play much this season. Yet when it actually happens and you see players returning that played those minutes some will think time for me to go elsewhere. That applies to every school and I expect 1000 in the portal next March. Then the teams that did not reel in a huge recruiting class need to take advantage it is like you get a second chance every year now.

Edwards is still UConn's best inside player by far. Their freshman DeBerry played seven minutes and had nothing but zeros to show not one rebound and did not take a shot. How does that happen even if you play just seven minutes. Fudd scored 11 really don't think she is going to be a starter at the beginning of the season.

Each team will stand on their regular season performance and not on how well they played in exhibition games. How you do against such an overmatched opponent is virtually meaningless.
With that being said, Georgia College's women's basketball team is not on the same level as the Fort Hayes team.
Massey has Ft Hayes as #293.
Georgia College as #726.
To deny the obvious is cognitive bias.

Just using my eyesight as I watched the game and really hard to see a lot of difference in the teams. Fort Hayes very slow had one or two fairly good shooters.

Outplayed Boston? For one Boston didn’t play as much and when she and Cardoso played together (which was most of the time she was in) Boston played the 4. Boston was terrific. The starters only played part of the first quarter. After that it was different combos of players mixed with part starters. Since we play NC State on Tuesday I’m sure she’s trying to find out who can play at a high level immediately. It’s not like we have 3 or 4 games to work those things out. On the other hand it will be great if Cardoso DOES outplay Aliyah. The two of them played very well together.

He went after Collier with everything he had and more and she went to Texas so losing this recruit is nothing new it has happened in the past. He lost Collier after the hurricane hit Texas and she felt she needed to be closer to home in case something happened. He wanted Boston bad. Geno loses players. He went after Horsten and Mercedes.

Semantics are semantics. How do you know how much turning up the heat actually means to another person? Sounds like an argument over nothing. Did Geno want Kiki? Did he really want her? Did he really, really want her. Who cares? She's going to work on her surfing in southern Cali.

In the first quarter they looked like national champions even against inferior competition. Azzi swished 3 straight 3's and then finished 3/6. But I will say this, this is not last year's team. They may lose more than last year, but they are a more rounded and very much deeper. Fort Hays was a very disciplined and very well coached. They stuck with their game plan and played hard even though outmanned.

First of all, an exhibition game is just that. The first game has players moving in and out, with the coach trying different combinations to find line ups that work in different situations. The score means nothing, but the experience for the players and coaches is invaluable. As far as Fort Hayes State, the WBCA preseason coaches poll ranks this team as #4 in the country in Div II.
