I'd be more inclined to agree with you if it was pills, coke, heroin, bag of grass, etc. But a stash of cannabis vape cartridges found on a player that probably likes her share of weed in a country where it's illegal? Sorry, I see absolutely nothing fishy about this story. All according to Russian media which let’s be honest, is not legit most often.

That was a hypothetical scenario. If BG used weed, it would make perfect sense that she would have large quantities of it in vape cartridge format since it would be one of the more discrete ways to consume it, especially overseas where it wouldn't be easy to replenish her stock.Has Griner tested positive for marijuana before? Wondering what made you say she probably likes her share of weed.
It’s the Russian media Amb, and that is 100% state controlled. So at a time when the US is leading the charge for enacting sanctions against Russia why in hell would anyone give them the benefit of the doubt. This is the ******* country bombing civilians into oblivion right now and telling everyone it’s a defensive measure…..yeah, I’ll trust anything coming out of that country after Putin is ten feet under. Dear God, look at what that country is capable of.That was a hypothetical scenario. Weed cartridges is probably not what corrupt officials would plant on a target. It would likely be a bottle of pills or bag of stuff. This is the sort of scenario where you read about a college kid trying this in a strict country, and you just shake your head.

I think I will need to ask you to show some kind of proof, any kind tbh, that this statement has any merit outside of a rumor or I heard it once before kind of thing. Until then I suggest we keep it between the lines.Among people who follow the W and Griner, it's well known that she's into weed. It's ridiculous that it's still illegal in most places, but it is what it is. I have zero doubts she is just so used to having her vaping gear with her that it simply didn't register it could be a problem.
Hard to believe that she could end up being at the center of a major hostage-like negotiation between the U.S. and Russia.

So you believe it happened a month ago and just got released, coincidently after her country imposed sanctions. OK. I don’t believe anything coming from that murderous nation, especially as I watch children and women getting bombed and murdered. You of course can believe as you will and others can claim BG is a known pothead without proof, but hey, all is fair in social media these days.Putin's obvious insanity nothwithstanding, this happened a month ago I believe. It was also on her way into Russia, not on the way out. Sue Bird, Diana T., Vandersloot and others were in Russia after the invasion began, but they had no issues getting out. If she was framed, it would have to have been planned ahead of time. I find it very unlikely that the Russian intelligence decided to pre-emptively frame a minor league American athlete in advance of the Ukrainian invasion, as opposed to targeting someone more important. We've heard nothing from Griner's camp about this until now. It seems that they were trying to keep it hush-hush, and then the war happened. Like @lvocd above said, it seems rather likely that Griner was just careless with her weed.
I also doubt that there will be hostage like negotiations using Griner as a pawn. Worldwide stakes are too high, and Russia having her in custody is not going to amount to any sort of bargaining chip.
Has anyone from her camp said otherwise? No doubt the timing of the Russian news release is intentional, but that's not to say it didn't happen when it did.So you believe it happened a month ago and just got released, coincidently after her country imposed sanctions. I don't agree with rules for a lot of countries, but I also make it a point not to push the boundaries when I go visit them. I was on particularly good behavior in Russia. I wouldn't even take photos of something if I thought it would be an issue. I appreciate my freedoms in the US, but I'm not going to assume that I have the same leeway in other countries. It's especially rich given that this is Russia where they have entire programs given to doping their athletes, even teenagers. But just a little bit of weed and it's 5+ years in prison.
Creme calling LSU a two seed I wonder if that is going to happen. I see them more as a three. I think Louisville is certainly in a battle now with Texas or Baylor if either win the big 12 as a one seed. If Louisville is not a one seed then they are certainly the first two. Iowa State may drop to a three if they don't win the Big 12. UConn is in the seventh weakest conference in the country, but they are a two right now if they win the Big East just don't know if they can get up to the one spot of the twos. If they do get up to that spot they would be in the bracket with the last one seed Louisville, Texas, or Baylor if one of those teams wins the Big 12. The SEC is the number one conference so maybe LSU does stay a two. UConn on the last reveal was a three seed but in first position. They are needing to go up three spots to get to the position to play in Bridgeport. I don't know if they can do that for winning the weakest conference title. I don't think Uconn will be the fourth two seed and play in Greensboro that looks to be LSU if they can maintain a two seed. Going to be interesting and much easier to determine when all the games are played.
