One of the happiest days ever in my sports life if John Fulkerson along with the Vols wins an SEC Championship today. Fulkerson has given his all for Tennessee as much as any player that has ever wore the orange. Will be a huge day if they can do it.

Texas possibly being the cream of the crop next year in the big12 might also be a factor but the SEC is where she would consistently see the best competition if that's important to her.

Remember that time UT was #1 seed and was sent to the Philly regional while LSU was sent to the Chattanooga regional. Ya, the committee will always go with the attendance draw... for certain teams.

we fell off of the radar for top recruits for a while due to the travesty that was Holly. And Coach Williams has not been here long enough to turn that totally around,,,but she has turned it towards where we want to go and for that I am 100 behind her and will stay there!

Kennedy is just ONE of the Cambridge girls. Why would you extrapolate her feelings to the rest of them? Jaloni may feel otherwise. Rivalries exist in families, too.

Not sure you are familiar with Vandy and their commitment to sports.

Just a few years ago their president Gordon Gee disbanded their atheletics department. He was later fired by Vandy and rehired as president of Ohio State. But the damage was done. AD Williams, hired from Vandy facility after Geeeft, was able to stabilize their program. However, they have along way to go.

Gee believed sports and atheletic didn't mix... at least at Vanderbilt. Of course he didn't have the same opinion at Ohio State. Wonder why? Hey, they have won two national championships in bowling though.

I just like everything Candice Lee (former WBB captain) is doing and I'm a believer in Shea Ralph. For a first year it has gone pretty well with them. They weren't expected to win 10 games this year and won 14 plus the first SECT win in 6 years and now a WNIT bid. Vandy is in the finals for a couple of pretty good 2023's and I think they will do real well in 2024 recruits. The administration is sinking $300M into a new facility including a WBB locker room, own practice court, and training and stressing 'recruiting space'. Combine the new facility, Vandy diploma, Nashville with Shea's reputation for coaching players, it could turn in to quite a force.

I do think Candace Lee is fabulous but don’t get you confidence in Shea Ralph.
Additionally, some players won’t get in Vanderbilt. If I was recruiting a kid who was thinking about Vanderbilt I would point out Vanderbilt is not even on the Radar in Nashville. Titans and Preds get all the sports love. Check out WBB attendance.
Also, how long will it take to get new facility? Do you think Ralph will be there for four years? She has one foot in Nashville and one in Storrs waiting for Geno to retire. He doesn’t look good.
Also, Vanderbilt has some good graduate schools but limited undergraduate options.
Finally, if you really want a valuable degree from a school that highly values women’s sports, is a beautiful campus, a tremendous alumni network and great weather…. Go to Stanford.
