So, based on the first round and today's games so far, which high seeds do folks feel have looked most like title contenders at this point?

Beat Louisville recently…..had been on a nice run, they can play. Outside of one game (NC) they played top ten-top 25 teams well all season, they were not trash.

I’ll give SC lil hostile fanbase one thing, they cheered hard today for those 49 points lol.. Miami was worse than Buffalo.

A good deal of the SC fan base is absolutely insane. I made a comment about it being an unwritten rule that you don’t run up the score for any reason and that there are ways to slow down your game if you’re up by 35 or more like SC was against Howard. I’d say about 35 SC fans had meltdowns over my comment. They cursed me, etc. One threatened to find me. Toxic and frightening people.

Lucy, was 100% sincere, I think Rick took it wrong, maybe it was Vol09, not sure, but yeah, totally sincere. I get it, it’s touchy right now in tourney time, took no offense.

The banner thing, I never get it, Cameron has similar banners, some others also. The banner makes no claim to championship unlike those others, just that it was a unanimous #1 team at season end with no tourney. Folks need something to attack these days I guess, but I don’t like going there, I just love watching WBB, it’s my fav spectator sport after CFB.

I am a fan of LV BB and have been watching the game for almost 25 years, reason why I understand the significance of your team and what it means to the sport. Some of these posters just need someone to jump on, so fans like me, from other teams get the heat, it’s cool Lucy.

Exciting first quarter between Texas and Utah. Both teams executing their game plans well. Texas getting buckets in transition and their secondary break. Utah getting good looks out of their pretty offense. They can really spread you out.

The NCAA should use RPI, strength of schedule and Q 1 and Q2 wins. I guess they could call all this the NET as what they are doing with NET now is some kind of BS. If they used this criteria for the entire season then Tennessee would've been a high three seed pushing close to a two. There are teams seeded higher in the tourney right now with a lower RPI. a lower sos, and fewer Q1 andQ2 wins. Sos seems to play no role in the decision so I see no reason to play teams that give you a strong sos. If I were Tennessee I would line up Tennessee Tech, Chattanooga, ETSU, Austin Peay, Tennessee State and others beat them as bad as I could as that seems to be a strong basis of the NET. NC played no one until they got into league play. If they had played Tennessee's schedule they would have more than six losses. All their losses came in league games. If you don't have a standard system to determine seeds then it becomes a popularity contest like Iowa as a two seed.

Yeah. I’m sooooo tired of the screwy ways they seed.

The NCAA tourney committee needs to build a fair seeding system. Just was talking to someone and they pointed out how Jackson State beat Miami and they played in arguably the game of tourney so far against LSU as a 14 seed. Miami has no business being a 8 seed.

And J State lost due to the poor officiating.

Texas starting to pour it on now. Harmon is fun to watch. The elevation on her jumper and her point of release is beautiful.

They say you’re actually more accurate shooting just slightly on the way up. Being a shorter player she needs to release at the height of her jump though. Really soft touch.

Why the bad vibes now, esp in a tourney game, has the game changed where it isn’t permissible to win by that margin anymore, because others are still doing it…look at some scores and preview past LV games. Weird how ”rules” are now changed by some.

What was the score of the UT game vs ETSU this year? 112-58……do your unwritten rules count there also? Don’t even look at scores from LV glory years, some were brutal but that is the way sports work, you put your team out there and ask them to do their best, esp in tourney play.

You realize if a P5 team makes the tourney they will be seeded 9 or above right? And Miami just made it to the ACC championship, the same conference with two number one seeds. You can spin it anyway you like, Miami was a tough ass team for most ranked opponents all season outside of a few bad games like most have. But yeah, they were “trash” even though they beat a top 4 team- think their other game with Louisville was a 3 point contest…

WRONG! TN was seeded as a 11 seed. Power 5 schools get seeded 11 and up ... TN was an 11 SEED when they played UCLA Hollys last season.
