Do you know who all remained from Joni's team last season ? Most of the main ones graduated Que Morris , Staiti , Coombs , Connaly etc ...i dont think they would be competitive this year even with Joni as the coach they did not bring in a big class other than Barker and the ones who did committ to joni while at UGA did not follow her.

She would have had Barker, Richardson, and Hollingshead as a solid nucleus, plus Chapman, Bates, Nicholson and Ashley Baker. That’s way more than she has at TAMU.

I think Iowa State will win handily. They are way more balanced than last season. Their post player, Suares, is excellent and has loads of potential.

Iowa State is considerably better this season than last. More balanced guard play than Iowa and better shooting. Outside of Clark Iowa has been struggling a bit.

Joens is not getting as many touches which I’m sure is making her dad mad but it’s making their team better. She does not have to do it all like she did a season or two ago. She has some help now and needs to use it.

Whenever I watched Georgia with Joni as the Coach, it was an assistant who was doing all the in game and timeout coaching. Looking back at their rosters, that assistant looks to be Karen Lange, who now is part of Duke’s staff. Joni may be missing her.

And Duke is dang glad she’s there. I think she’s was doing the heavy duty coaching while Joni was mostly the recruiter and “face” of the program.

Iowa State and Iowa look like the same team to me meaning identical in a lot of ways. So home team usually takes these games and that is the way it is looking tonight.

Another serving of crow for me tonight. Did not anticipate Iowa States offense looking this bad suddenly. Can’t hit the broad side of a barn.

Iowa on the other hand got more help from some others today.

Rivalry games it’s all out the window anyway.

You were right. Clark scored 19 points, 8 reb, 8 ast, and Iowa wins 70-57.

I personally like Joni a lot as a person but thats still a brutal loss to a pretty bad Little Rock team. A&M fans down there are not happy about what they have seen. Even with Barker A&M is still not very good unfortunately.

You and i Both !! She would be a gamechanger for our team , but one thing ive noticed is her body language needs to improve she seems as though shes bored with her teammates and or annoyed with A&M. She plays as though shes out to get hers and not really focused on the results of W/L. Maybe she knows this season is moot and A&M will not be very good but why choose to go their and waste a season of your 4 year career >? I feel she's losing lime light with all the talent she has and wasting it at A&M. She wont win FOY because her team will be terrible at the end of the season and no one would really have paid them any attention to see her talents. Poor kid.
