She visited Duke and that was it. She committed her Sophomore year. She was good friends to Sadie Edwards who also transferred from UCONN ending up at USC.

The Texas A&M/ GA game was physical. A&M got to the line again in this game. The difference was so did GA. It is misleading as the Aggies fouled a lot towards the end to get the ball back with time left on the clock. More touch fouls called on the perimeter of the aggies for handchecking (which carter and Williams do quite frequently). Knowing that I wonder if the LV will attack them next time. I can’t imagine our girls don’t have that games in the back of their head (yes, I know they are probably focused on the task at hand).

It’ll be interesting to see how our guards do with the ND guards and facing Patterson who we heavily recruited. All in all I think our freshman + Green were a great hall and I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Also potentially sidelined is Wilson's replacement Mikiah Herbert-Harrigan, whose left knee appeared to buckle in the final quarter when she drove the lane. The 6-2 sophomore was helped off the court, her left leg held in air. Staley said the prognosis is better than it looked. Herbert-Harrigan will also have an MRI.

Can’t wait for UCONN/Texas tonight. It would make my week if UCONN lost, not because I have ill wishes for them, but because their fans gave us absolutely no respect when we beat TX. But I can’t see them losing to Texas.

Just got back from Music City Classic. I watched today: Riverdale vs Winder Barroll (Ga.) Olivia Nelson Ododa and Latrice Perkins were their main players. Ododa going to UCONN and Perkins to College of Charleston. Ododa at 6’4” is thin framed and not very strong. She is rated in top ten next year but must be mostly on POTENTIAL! Alexander from Riverdale took the ball from her hands the first trip down the floor, then went down and shot a three in her face! Not even a good touch from the foul line ??? I cannot imagine Geno doing much with her??? But he is a good coach and time will tell!!! I just don’t see a top talent??? Perkins is a decent guard with skills but thin also.


Riverdale ran them in the ground and won by about 30 points. The Hayes sisters looking good and Alisynn may have grown an inch? Her build is more like father taller and thin in stature. With Annie and others sisters more like a fire hydrant... short and stout.

Hamilton Heights played Mercer (Ky.) and HH height was the killer there. Mercer has one girl over 6’ and HH smallest girl was 6’ (Jasmine) HH has a new addiction in Esmery Martinez a 6’1” guard from the Dominican Republic. She will be on the 2019 class and looks pretty athletic. I am not sure if she is a DI player as of yet? I need to see her more to determine. HH ran them much like Riverdale did and Mercer had no legs and poor shooting in second half. Close at half but game over in third quarter.

Texas doing a good job keeping their lead in the 2nd quarter. Texas is playing with a lot of confidence.

34-29 with 2 1/2 to go. UConn unraveling, getting beat on hustle plays. Texas bigs are tearing up UConn interior.

KLS is an awesome player. I'm not sure there's been a better shooter since Maya Moore in basketball.
She and Dangerfield have showed up. TX playing well.

I can't believe Texas fell apart like that in the last 90 seconds and outscored 10-1.

UConn leading 39-38. UConn guards keeping them in in it.

I've been a fan of Gabby Williams' game, but she needs to be taken off the POY lists. She has been exposed this year.

The other 3 name UConn player. Kaleena Mosqueda Lewis. Probably a better pure shooter, but KLs has a really complete game. She's much better than I thought she'd be. I was confident she'd just be another Ann Strother type player who needed to be Robin to someone else's Batman.

Texas needs to bring back what they did the first 18 1/2 minutes and not blow this one.

agree about KML, however i like KLS's size more and she seems more complete to me. She will have an impact at the WNBA level
