Non-Lady Vol Game discussion

agree about KML, however i like KLS's size more and she seems more complete to me. She will have an impact at the WNBA level

I agree. She can score in a lot of different ways, and she has pretty good athleticism. Oh, and she's not obese also. KML could be an impact pro if she could learn to put the cheeseburgers down.

Is Rellah Boothe even there? She appears to be out of the rotation. Haven't seen her name in the recent box scores.

Holy crap, what a run from Texas to take the lead!

4 fouls on Collier. Go straight at Stevens and get her to join Napheesa on the bench.

Win or lose, this game should show every team in the country that UCONN is BEATABLE.
They need to give gabby williams more room! She's going to drive every time.

Yup... she is on the end of the bench with the other freshman who don’t play much. All three all Americans

You can add #1 ranked Megan Walker to the bench splitters.

Bye 'Pheesa. But those two missed FTs by Atkins will be costly...

But she hit that 17 ft jumper when Texas retook the lead. She has that shot in her.

Texas really needed to convert on those previous two possessions. They need a stop here.

So, we didn’t get any credit for the Texas win because J. Holmes didn’t play... well she hasn’t had much of an impact on this game either. So, what’s UCONN’s excuse??

0-3 Fg, 1 pt, 1rbd

Wtf is wrong with them? You want to foul Williams!!!!

So much falling apart here it's not even funny.

Texas handed this game to UConn. That was just a complete brain freeze. They had this game won.

On the plus side—UCONN looks very beatable this year. If Notre Dame doesn’t tank in the 4th and Texas makes plays in the final 2 minutes (aka hit more than 1/4 from FT and don’t miss two layups), UCONN could easily be a two loss team right now. They just don’t seem as in rhythm as they have been in previous years, and they aren’t executing as well. Collier was really bad tonight and hasn’t been as good this year, Williams isn’t dominating big games like she did last year, and they don’t defend the dribble drive or opposing posts very well. Despite the loss by Texas, I’m optimistic that UCONN might actually lose a game this year.

If Wilson is back for their matchup, her and Jennings could be a handful if UConn plays the same as they did against Caron-Gaudreau and White. CG in particular really outmuscled UConn's interior players on the glass. SC just needs Spann to be able to hit from outside, provided Harris is aggressive like against Tennessee.

Agree that UConn doesn't look as sharp as we thought at the start of the season. They are a solid six, with little from their heralded freshmen. Will be interesting to see how Tennessee could match up with them.v Russell could really do some damage inside.

Entertaining game. Texas was so close, if only they could hit their free throws (Atkins & Caron-Goudreau missing late free throws).
And Yes Uconn definitely looks beatable.

Holmes looked sad and awful. She is out of shape, I’m surprised she’s even playing. The announcers even made mention that she is a not even at the same level as her freshman year.

This game goes to show you how the little things add up in the end. A missed lay up here, missed free throw there. Texas still has Baylor to play 2 more times.

After watching this game I can honestly say the championship is wide open this year.
