Being a teacher I have to stay in the know.... LOL... so I can be like “what did you say”? They usually explain then I’m like oh ok... why didn’t you just say that 😂

Is it me or does this board just doesn't have a good feeling about decosta committing to Tenneseee? Everyone is saying she is going to Baylor, who else are we recruiting

🤔 2016... we didn’t sign a top 100 recruit and I agree that should never happen at TN! However, we did sign a JUCO All American that year who may be pivotal to our team’s success then followed it up with 4 all Americans the next class. We already have two talented kids committed to TN and Decosta and Williams are essentially still on the board with Burrell. So we sign 3 players that leaves us with 10 available players the next season. I have to believe the JUCO route will have to be an option if we whiff out on the 3 remaining targets.

I was thinking Tennessee or Louisville until hearing the Baylor talk. We will find out 5:30 pacific time tomorrow.

Rae Burrell from Nevada is scheduled for a visit in November. She is considering Tennessee, Oregon state, Oklahoma and Marquette, I think. She is a 6'1" , 2/3 player.

I think it will be down to Oregon State and Tennessee for Burrell, Oklahoma already has a 6 player class for 2018 (she would make 7) I also don’t think she has the same interest in Marquette that she has in Oregon State and UT

Now that I don't know lol! I love the effort she played with on defense especially when she turned it over and chased the girl down for the block shot. A lot of players would've just let it go

Therefore she did what she was suppose to do and dominate the competition and not play down to it like we have done the past couple of years (Alabama anyone?)

Why did I think Burrell was considering TCU, must be thinking of someone else. I joined the Oklahoma board but haven't been able to post there yet (pretty slow over there because I joined like over a month ago and still don't have permission to post). I think at one point people thought she was an Oklahoma lean.

I believe she was at one point but now with them having 6 verbal commits I don't think she would still entertain going there (but hey Christyan Williams is still considering Texas and they essentially don't have a spot for her)

Texas has a spot for her. Only the coaching staff knows which players will be on scholarship next season.

Aquira DeCosta.... what's the consensus here? I know y'all are hoping for Tennessee but what's the gut feeling?

I'm gonna say Baylor. Mulkey is a wizard and needs to be stopped lol

Oh they are up to 6... Dang last I checked they were at 5. Hopefully Sherri can do something with them because she has been down for bit. I need her to get her act together so she can get more air-time.

You just proved our point, coaches have already made it known to whatever player that this would be they last year if another player is coming along!

I’ve seen it done, my sister just finish play 4 years of college basketball and I’ve seen how one season she got a certain amount the next year it changed then it changed again, the Scholarships aren’t guaranteed an at any moment a coach can get rid of someone if they feel they can land a better option (just like they can leave if they see a better job and coach immediately but the players must sit a year)

I am not in gamecock land, but feel SC has a good shot at ONO. Good luck to Williams if she goes to Texas or UCONN. Will Wlliams pretty much a '2' in college or will she be played at the point some.

Not really sure where these young ladies heads are. Can't really say whose leaning where based on word from other fans. But I think SC could still get 2 of the 3.

Not really. Texas has 2 redshirt juniors on the roster this season; one of them has a twin sister on the roster how is a true senior, and she has had a history of injuries at both Vanderbilt and then Texas. Could be that she has already decided to move on after this season, and already informed the coaches of that decision.
