None of these games matter

This is going to get worse before people wake up to the problem. This isn't college any more. These guys are professionals now. They are getting paid, they are held to a higher standard. There is everything riding on these kids performance over the course of the year...but the first game is a gimme. It don't matter to the people that matter.

What the hell does this babble have to do with this weekend's game mattering or not? You think if OSU and Bama lose this weekend and there are 4 teams undefeated at the end of the year, that bama and OSU will look back and think "hey that first week really didnt matter".

I think Ohio State could lose the first two games then win out and as long as they beat Michigan state they will get in...because of the revenue their fan base generates.

I have seen the same with alasalami in the past. 2 lose teams get in because of the money their fans generate.

You have lost your mind. If there are 4 teams from the Power 5 that have less than 2 losses, there is absolutely no way that OSU would make it in. Again, please provide anything that shows this would happen.

Two loss teams get into what?

And Alabama never got into a BCS title game or last year's playoff with two losses, so what the **** are you talking about?

If Ohio State loses 2 games and we have 4 unbeaten teams left in January, you telling us Ohio State's fan base will knock out one of the unbeaten teams.

That's one powerful fan base.

We will see a two lose team in the playoffs at some point soon because they can generate enough revenue. Teams that everyone wants to be there, but they shouldn't be there tbh.

Again, do you have anything that can prove this theory? To suggest a 2 loss team will make it in the playoffs over a 1 loss team is pretty much baseless.

again, you are not far sighted enough. In a couple years revisit this thread. Hell, it could even be this year. The committee starts fresh EVERY week. Remember that. It gives them an excuse.

Can you give one example, and you can go back as far as you'd like, even pre-BCS, of a 2 loss team getting into a national championship opportunity over a more deserving 1 loss or undefeated team?

You claimed Alabama got into the championship game with two losses.

When did this happen?
