And oh yeah, that was a hot discussion that year. Should alasalami be allowed in? It was a debate.
We've established that Bama was not given BCS title consideration in 2010, because they had 3 losses and there were 3 undefeated team that year.
Perhaps there's another year you can offer as proof there was a hot discussion about a two (or hell even three) loss Bama team being given BCS title consideration over an undefeated or 1-loss team.

I'll help out. Since the start of the BCS, here are all of Bama's 2 or 3 loss teams:
1999 - 2 losses, ranked 4th in the final BCS poll. There were 2 undefeated teams and one 1 loss team ahead of Bama.
2002 - 3 losses, not ranked in the BCS as Bama was banned from postseason play
2005 - 2 losses, ranked 13th in final BCS poll. 2 undefeated teams played in the title game.
That's it. Along with 2010, that's every two or three loss Bama team since 1998. Beginning with 2008, Bama has only had one multi-loss regular season.
So I stopped what I was doing and looked it up. LSU was a two loss champion in 2008 apparently so that must be what I'm thinking of. Doesn't matter one way or the other. A team could get rolled this weekend and wind up #1 in a few weeks so it doesn't matter.

It's this whole human element that is throwing me. People are flawed. They have agendas. I don't trust it. I think osu might get in over the real UT in that scenario because of the revenue they generate.
I think he's saying Ohio State's fan base is more powerful than Tennessee's fan base.
You may be right about this. In doing some deep critical thinking about the whole new system and season and discussing my concerns in an open forum with people who also think about this stuff. I have a problem with such powerful and influential people wielding that power without checks and balances. The system is ripe for corruption.
