'25 Northwestern Transfer OL Josh Thompson

Well he'd better be because insiders are reporting he's coming.
I have no info but it could be that he has told people (media) he is coming to TN, but this is the 2nd of our insiders on this board who has said something about Moe not being a fit for us, so we may have changed our minds after seeing him.

Or he could ๐Ÿ’ฏ still be a take lol

Go to Moe's thread. @KingVFL and @dascoop are reporting it. They know.

So with the Moe addition does it mean we are out on this guy? Iโ€™m thinking most of these guys want a starting roll to sign .. just wondering what Moes addition makes our lineup look like

Think taking both this guy and Moe would be pretty big. Creates depth and allows the younger guys one more year to mature. Brings a lot of starts to an OL that will be missing experience. Having an inexperienced center and RT is going to be enough. Wonโ€™t have Dayne Davis as the 6th guy anymore either.

A barely 300lb guard? Doubt it.

Feels like an athletic tackle
Moe is much more fit for guard than Thompson weight and strength wise. Need big uglies in the trenches in the sec Thompson is awful light for guard. Kinda light at tackle but I like his frame there. Would like to see him at 315-20 though. But Thompson appears to have good tangibles that make him a very good tackle prospect. He looks athletic and some 300 pounders are tough enough to hold up out there. GBO

He was impressed with what all he saw in what he described as a "speed dating" visit. Loved the people and the culture and said it wasn't a sales pitch from Tennessee is was more of a see if the two sides fit. Wants to make a decision this weekend or early next week.

He has seen Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Auburn and is heading next to LSU for a final visit.
