Yeah but if Karic comes back then Thompson goes to RT.LT: Heard/L Johnson or Sanders
LG: Karic or Moe/ Sanders
C: Satterwhite
RG: Thompson or Sham
RT: Warren or Perry or J Heard
Moe played LG at Arizona, Thompson played RG at NW
Can’t forget about Max Anderson, Ginther, Nic Moore, Bussell and Duncan for more depth
I just feel like even if Karic doesn’t come back:Yeah but if Karic comes back then Thompson goes to RT.
Start experience over youth.
Now if Karic doesn’t get another year then yes, Thompson and Moe at guard and one of the younger guys at RT. Again he’s played both at NW.
Or like one poster suggested, slide Moe to center and Thompson at RG.
Exactly some know their time is coming and some players need a year of of development. Ross is gonna make a huge impact at end next year. Same thing with Matthews his impact will be seen as well. Most players know if there time is coming or if they may have trouble ever cracking starting time. I’m sure our staff and coaches have honest evaluations with all the players. Schools like Georgia and Tennessee and others that retain the majority and hit the holes with quality portal additions is the beat route. It’s almost a given nearly all teams are going lose at least a small number to the portal. But the schools with good culture and communication with their staff and players seem to have a better retention rate of their players. The teams living hard in the portal every year are going to have a harder time developing a good playing environment year in and year out. I feel like that is where our staff and a few others schools are winning, they are retaining and developing more than the others and they make the most out of the more limited use of the portal by focusing on players that can truly help make a impact. GBOMike Matthews got limited snaps and ain’t leaving.
Nico redshirted and didn’t leave.
Jordan Ross basically only plays ST and haven’t heard of him leaving.
Braylon Staley still here.
Bennett Warren still here.
I think playing someone who is not prepared and doesn't give the team the best chance to win is a terrible idea. But hey lets play guys just because of rankings and potential, that will work out great for us! He might end up ready, and if he is put him out there. But he is kind of a prototypical OL that could redshirt to get physically prepared for the requirements of SEC play but then turn around as a redshirt freshman and be All-SEC.I think not playing Sanders next year is a terrible idea TBH
Very likely scenario to play out.Bold prediction: Sanders will never start a game for us at right tackle. I think he’ll develop next year, play a little in blowouts, and then take over for L. Heard at left tackle in ‘26. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him repping right behind Heard at left by Fall camp or even the end of Spring.
