not taking Vandy seriously

All Vandy needs to do is get to the edge everytime and were toast we cant tackle around the end. Watch film if your Vandy pick out the weakness and do that and they will win in Neyland. We looked like crap on Saturday it was such a boring game sitting in the stands and watching Auburn make us look like a second rate college team. Trust me Franklin will be out for blood and would give his left arm to beat us in Neyland and boys as bad as I hate to say this they may just do it this year. I know Vandy is Vandy blah blah blah but Vandy is not the Vandy of years past this is no easy win, and KY on the road I'm not so sure about either we can't play on the road very good that still has to be proven.

Vandy doesn't have the speed of the teams that gave us the most trouble.

Most teams don't take Tennessee serious any longer. So for any Tennessee fan to look down on another team, just shows how ignorant some of our fans truly are.

Past years are not as important as now and the future.
We only have 4 wins so far in 2013.
We have not earned the right to make fun of anyone.

I do know that Ole Miss beat them. I do know that Missouri embarrased them. So, they have exposed areas....

We beat up UGA & we beat up Florida for them....so their wins against UGA & Florida were a little aided by us.

Ernest Angeley couldn't cure my discourse towards Vandy. I am sure there are a lot of very respectable Vandy fans, but I will never give the commodores more respect than my vols.

I know they're 5-4, but still they hung 34 on Fla (who was supposed to have - at one point - one of the best defenses in the country).

We could lose to Vandy but we won't. Butch and the players understand that if this were to happen in our house and giving them 2 wins in a row that volnation would implode. This game can affect our recruiting as much as any game this year. Butch play them the inch by inch video every day. Play the Vandy fight song before practice. Having the coaches yelling anchor down at the players. Fire them up as this could be armageddon if we lose.

Let's be real here....They beat a very depleted Ga and Fla team at the time THEY (Vandy) played them. Yes Fla to start the year had A, if not THE, top D in the country but they (Florida) were no where close to that when Vandy played them. If you really think Vandy is a top team, just go home, you're drunk.

Now i'm not saying we will destroy Vandy but I do feel like we will beat Vandy. We should not take them lightly either. They are a well coached team (that tasted terrible to say) and they play hard. I hope CBJ has our guys motivated and ready to play!

Hey thanks. When most of the people around here listen to my midwestern dialect, they rib me for being a "yankee". I was neither born nor raised here. My roots go back to very flat and very cold land where fans worship Touchdown Jesus. If I'm a hillbilly, it would only be the honorary variety, but the first time I saw the grass at Neyland, Robert Meachem was running through Cal, and I was hooked. I had a lot of history to catch up on and footage to watch, but the University of Tennessee is second to none. You must have missed the part where I said Vandy could win every game from now until I die, and I won't take them seriously. Life is definitely more than a football game, and if they win, they're still Vanderbilt, and I am a Tennessee Volunteer. I think we differ in that you seem to think the mindset of a fan translates to results on the field, but I won't be putting on pads and a helmet next Saturday so I can have whatever opinion of Vanderbilt I choose. I also hope that if you're sure someone was raped on the hill by one of our team, rather than just making vague, baseless assumptions, you would bring forth the evidence so justice can be served. Rape isn't pot. It doesn't "happen everywhere". I don't take Vandy seriously because they had as many players implicated in the rape/cover up of this poor woman as they have wins against Tennessee since 1965. The rape case has nothing to do with Vanderbilt. It is low life trash individuals that used to go school there.

Do you want UT to take the brunt of criticism for multiple Former Vols killing people with their cars? It is the same. Don't say they had already left UT and then say VFL. They are Vols and they killed innocent people.
