I'm sure nobody's ever found themselves in a wreck due to a hardy sneeze, or while changing their radio, or lighting their cigarette.
Face it. This reasoning you're using is retarded. If everyone went along with it, cars would drive us.
Sure they have caused distractions and accidents.
And if people were lighting up with the kind of prevalence we see with cell phone usage, or if listening to the radio required you to hold it to your head or at least in one hand as you thumb out a message, you'd have a point.
But the point would simply be that those other things should be reconsidered, as well. That we don;t act the way we should in other contexts is a pretty weak argument against a ban of cellphone usage that makes perfect sense.
