'20 NV ILB Vai Kaho (San Diego State commit)

My problem with your grumbling is that you're criticizing his rating and offer list... not his film or production. If you saw the ladder, you wouldn't be criticizing him at all. The film looks about like his brother's did:

- clearly the best player on the field
- quick to react, instinctual
- great drive to the ball, tossing larger bodies out of the way effortlessly
- doesn't get tied up in blocks
- solid thump at the attack point
- fantastic wrap up, clamps onto the ball carrier like a python, does NOT let go
- appears as one of the fastest kids on the field comparatively... I don't think the listed 40 time is remotely close to accurate (probably high 4.6-low 4.7), perfectly serviceable for a SEC ILB/Star/Box SS with instincts that takes proper lines to the ball-carrier

Ale had slightly more impressive film (mostly from the RB position), but the current rating differential is absurd between the two.

Go watch his senior season film and tell me what about it you're not prepared to dish out a scholarship for... I can definitely see why the staff is all about him
Well you acknowledged what my concerns were, that they weren’t just ranking or offer list related. You think the 40 time is inaccurate. Cool. Really no proof either way right now.

It looks like his level of comp. is solid not great. Of course he’s gonna look like the best on the field in his own highlights. I’m pretty sure for example Bishop Gorman has players on his level.

He does get to ball effectively. His Hudl video consists mostly of him coming off the edge unblocked. He takes on blockers a handful of times, and drops into coverage almost none. He won’t be playing off the edge here and he’d be playing 20+ lbs heavier than what he is in this tape. Likely to lose a step.

Look, if he ends up here I’ll be rooting for him hard as anybody else. Just interesting to me that the schools that scout the region the heaviest haven’t offered.

Let it die then.

I’m obviously just trolling.

Clearly the more objective thing is to find a way for every potential Vols signee to be a top notch prospect.
Objective if not exactly realistic.

we've got a really nice Jr and Fr class.

IF we get solid QB play out of our guys it could be a very good year in 2020

I just hope his OV blows him away so that he decides to forgo the desert wasteland of Nevada and chooses to Kaho-me to the far superior Big Orange.
Actually, my son went to Nevada (all the way from Illinois) and loved it. Reno isn’t a bad town and the campus is nice.
But if a kid has an opportunity to play in the SEC vs the Mountain West he’d be nuts to pass on it.

If I was a kid that had enough talent to get a D1 scholarship, but not at a SEC school...I would definitely go somewhere like Nevada. I love the west.

You should.🙂 But hold up CJP’s infallibility at your own peril.
No one’s brought up that word ceptin yourself. Maybe you misread high rate of success evaluating prospects? And you’re really ramping up the stakes with this life and death talk. Recruiting talk should be lighter and fun...Xanax could be a real good friend to you.
