The OSU-PennS game will deide who goes form the Big 10. LSU- UGa winner will go. If Clemson wins out, they will go. That leaves 1 from the Pac 10-12 or 1 from the Big 12. I have no way to pick which team fills the 4th spot.

Staff loves this guy. I haven't seen any of his senior clips yet but supposedly he has had a great senior season. One of the 247 national guys mentioned him recently as a guy having a great senior year. I'd be curious to see if he's picked up a bunch of new offers recently.

Film is more than solid, it's good... looks much faster on a field than the reported 4.92 and has a nose for the football... I like him... underrated by 1/2point at least... looks like a solid ILB/Star/SS prospect to me

I think whoever wins Pac 12 falls short of the playoffs. Lots of dominoes could still fall, but I just don't think the conference is strong enough.

I can’t fault @benholt06 or others who want to question the ranking. This kids older brother was the #1 rated ILB two cycles ago, so it’s unlikely the ranking is because of not camping or lack of exposure or any other “usual” reasons.

And I actually agree with @benholt06 that the lack of pac 12 offers is somewhat noteworthy.

Still... I stand by my earlier comment: if this staff is pushing for him, then I’m sold. If Nieds is on the case, we really want him. I hope we get him.

OL/WR/RB etc I’m a little less confident in assessments, but I don’t question this staffs ability to identify defensive talent.

In closing....

I don’t mind the differing opinion, the whining and crying like a petulant schoolgirl is why I had to block the dude.

Won't disagree, but Clemson is undefeated, and Oregon/Utah are not. One loss and I think Clemson would be out of the picture.

Kaho said of Tennessee, “they are pretty straight up. The SEC speaks for itself. I have been talking to Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt a lot and listening to his words and messages. He has been talking to me about similar guys that he coached that have my body frame. He really stresses to me the guys that he has recruited can be special.”
One prospect that Pruitt recruited some, and would be coaching today if he had stayed at Alabama is Vai’s older brother, Ale Kaho. Ale was rated as the number one insider linebacker in America by 247 Sports coming out of high school, prior to signing with Alabama. This allowed the younger Kaho to build a relationship ahead of time with Jeremy Pruitt.
Vai said on Pruitt, “I actually got to know him. He is the one who wanted my brother, and he actually recruited him. On his official to Alabama, we had a chance to sit in the office with Coach Pruitt and talk with him. As far as I know, he is just a really good guy. He is a straight-up guy, and somebody that I would want to be coached by.”

My problem with your grumbling is that you're criticizing his rating and offer list... not his film or production. If you saw the ladder, you wouldn't be criticizing him at all. The film looks about like his brother's did:

- clearly the best player on the field
- quick to react, instinctual
- great drive to the ball, tossing larger bodies out of the way effortlessly
- doesn't get tied up in blocks
- solid thump at the attack point
- fantastic wrap up, clamps onto the ball carrier like a python, does NOT let go
- appears as one of the fastest kids on the field comparatively... I don't think the listed 40 time is remotely close to accurate (probably high 4.6-low 4.7), perfectly serviceable for a SEC ILB/Star/Box SS with instincts that takes proper lines to the ball-carrier

Ale had slightly more impressive film (mostly from the RB position), but the current rating differential is absurd between the two.

Go watch his senior season film and tell me what about it you're not prepared to dish out a scholarship for... I can definitely see why the staff is all about him
