if the prestige and recognition associated with a GOAT SEC qb werent successful, then TN fades into obscurity.

However, i recall the recruiting & groundwork laid for a NC. And subsequent ass whuppin put on Bama, in their house. I know bc i was there.

Was the 1990s SEC East as bad as they’ve been under Kirby?

Listen Rusty, I’m glad you like Kirby. I’m happy he’s your coach too. I know a handful of UGA fans who can’t stand him. I hope he stays a long while because he’s a liability. Had you had a quality coach like Pruitt - you’d be in the CFP every year.

Speaking of Bama, game is at TN next year right? I think you have an off week before them next year as well. They play the week before. They will still be good but lose most of their firepower at WR and QB. Be interesting who they go with at QB. Tua little brother, Jones, Bears grandson, or Bryce Young. Expect a new DC for them as well.

East was worse in the 90s. There was UF and UT, that was it. Ky is much better, Vandy is better (they avg 2 wins in 90s), SC is better than the 90s. Don’t let the West narrative go unnoticed, did you know that only Bama and Ms St have winning records in the past decade vs their permanent SEC East opponent?

Three final notes here:

1. If you own a wing restaurant in Knoxville, props. I love wings, I have worked in the restaurant industry for years before. Love it. Love wings. Hope to stop by your place and support you next year.
2. In my opinion you have not called any shots RE recruiting. I have been here for a long time. No big deal, we are all having fun, but that is just it, fun. No one from this staff is going to leak something that somehow makes it to a wing restaurant and to your ears before the rest of the board is privy to it as well. I like reading your posts, but this is all just for fun. Our two insiders are probably ATLvol and LAvol. Thats as close as we are going to get and that is awesome.
3. A true insider would not defend his insider status. Who cares what message board folk think? Right? They would just be doing it for fun too. If I somehow had inside info, I would find a way to subtly allude to what I knew without exposing myself. But I would not care if someone questioned my knowledge, as I would know why I was divulging and who the fudge cares. What is there to lose?

There ya go. I ll stop bah-humbugging you as I do like to read what you have to say as a fan.

lol based on what? Would seem Pruitt also has issues with less talented teams like Georgia State. IMO it’s the offenses that UGA and UT run. Playing ball control takes possessions away and makes the game more volatile. UGA got far with an antiquated offense because they had 2 senior first round picks at RB, which doesn’t happen often. If you look at the playoff teams this year, all of them run some sort of spread.

2) That statement is factually incorrect. I’ve been posting early information for over a decade. I even gave you multiple examples. ATL is a great guy. But he speaks in absolutes. And he’s misfired infinitely more than hes been correct.
