Obama Less Popular Than Bush

Here's something a little more detailed that addresses you concerns.

The White House - Press Office - Remarks by the Vice President at the first Recovery Plan Implementation meeting

I think this sight is representative of prevailing wisdom, other that a Football board that just happens to have a political forum.

Quote Rosary Joe Biden, that nails it, we are totally convinced now.

Are you sure you don't mean prevailing propaganda instead of prevailing wisdom??

(BTW, you meant 'site' rather than 'sight.')

Some people have no sight, those people are usually referred to as blind or visually impaired. fyi.

He'll get a lot of mileage out of blaming W. I don't think he'll fall down to that Bush 34% level, but he won't stay at 63% either. I think it depends on how much his "fixes" exacerbate the current problem.

Are Reid and Pelosi still in the teens in approval rating??

I see presidential approval being about the same as congressional approval in the not so distant future when it becomes more and more obvious they are on the same page and their philosophy just doesn't pan out as promised.

He will be below 50% by the end of the year, if not the middle of the summer and he will continue to decline for the next three years.

Barry will be one and done just like his mentor Jimmy.

not to mention that Bush's numbers were like that after an absurdly contentious election conclusion and breathless wait for the winner. The rancor there had to hurt Bush's rankings as some of the 'don't care' crowd had to view his ascendancy as less than democratic.

No the numbers were like that because the country had united after the tragic events of 9/11. Bush had a golden opportunity then which makes his downfall that more remarkable.

??????? That poll was from 09. How does a poll in 09 have anything to do with the effects from 911?

Well that moron you support doubled the national debt while leaving office with the economy having the worst GDP in 26 years.
It took him 8 years. Your boy, Lil' Hussein, has matched that in a month.

Your explanation of Obama's spending? I'm all ears.

He was talking about Bush's high approval rating after he took office. He was referring to the Bush/Gore election where the country had to wait for a recount to decide the winner in Florida and ultimately the election.

Even though after his first month in office, 9/11 was still 7 months away?

Ever notice how most of these Obama backers tend to follow their leader and resort to "Bush bashing" when they run out of answers. That, and their seems to less and less "horn tooting" when it comes to the Prodical's choices as of late. So eerily strange.

and......

you hearkening back to the new deal and just how fabulously it worked?

You may not have liked the new deal, but the people who lived through the depression would disagree.

For example, the South voted solidly democratic for the next 50 years, and elected Roosevelt to 4 terms.
Not to mention, making FDR one of the respected Presidents in history.

There's only a handful of U.S. Presidents who ended up with their face on U.S. currency, FDR happens to be one of them for reason.

I fail to see how the high number of pork projects are going to help the economy, but then again I didn't go to Harvard.
