Why do people still listen to politicians?? They try to calculate what to do, based on the sensationalism flavor of the day. Politicians and a large majority of talk show radio hosts are just talking heads, and will never offer this country and form of change that it needs.

The Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist here in ATL, MLK's former and the most influential black church, tried his best to deflect it Sunday in his sermon. He told his congregation that this one issue should not stop them from voting for BHO. It was not well received.

Heaven forbid we not elect a guy because he supports gay marriage. I mean...anything but that!!!

Hey Milo, how bout this fill of news from CBS?

(CBS News) One in four registered voters say they are less likely to vote for President Obama in November because he expressed support same-sex marriage, according to a new CBS News/New York Times poll.

While 25 percent say the president's support for same-sex marriage makes them less likely to support his reelection, 16 percent say his position makes them more likely to support him. Fifty-eight percent say the announcement will not affect how they vote.

Poll: One in four less likely to back Obama over same-sex marriage - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

(CBS News) Presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has a slight edge over President Obama in the race for the White House in the latest CBS News/New York Times poll.

According to the survey, conducted May 11-13, 46 percent of registered voters say they would vote for Romney, while 43 percent say they would opt for Mr. Obama. Romney's slight advantage remains within the poll's margin of error, which is plus or minus four percentage points.

Last month, a CBS News/New York Times poll showed Mr. Obama and Romney locked in a dead heat, with both earning 46 percent support among registered voters. Polls conducted in February and March showed Mr. Obama with an advantage over Romney, while a January poll showed Romney edging out Mr. Obama 47 percent to 45 percent. Another January poll showed the two tied.

Like I was saying. It's a disaster

Hmmmm. According to Intrade its 58% chance of Obama vs. 38% chance for Romney. How is that a total disaster?

As another poster noted, RCP has Obama by a considerable amount.

Me? I don't know, but I can't find any reason to think that Obama will lose, other than opinion.

Only you and Fox News are taking up that narrative. It was a coin flip that came up tails, but it's still not the primary issue on the forefront of most peoples minds. It will be an aftertought by November. There will still be some extra out there who will remember that and vote against him, but I'd be willing to bet that about just as many newly minted 18 year old registered voters will turn out and vote for him precisely because of this.

The Obama camp probably figured since Biden opened his trap, it was best just to take a definitive stance and get it out of the way now.

He should be called out for being a pussy . He favors it, but is too scared to do anything.

Fortunately the civil rights leaders in the 60s had more strength.

He was in the mid 60s last month. The economy isn't going to get better and the market will continue it's pull back this summer. We are not trading to new highs anytime soon

Sounds like a fun summer full of shorting index funds. Let me know when you strike it rich

My party? O won't have my vote in November, and the only reason I'm registered D is because Oregon has closed primaries and the area I live in is represented top to bottom by Democrats

Voting Gary Johnson in November, you're fooling yourself if you think Republicans are going to accomplish anything, if that's what you're insinuating. They are every bit the empty suit special interest slaves that Dems are

you're dreaming about the young voters, but I agree with the last paragraph. Still not a good idea though. An election year is one hell of a time to pretend to have a revelation about a wedge issue.
