Obligatory post-game loss next HC thread

It's a damn joke that the football, basketball and baseball programs have gotten to the point that they are at right now. If I were Hart, I'd fire everyone in the AD that had any hand in hiring Kiffin, Dooley, Martin or Raleigh. Easily, four of the worst hires in the entire history of the athletic dept. It's damn pathetic that with the money that this program pulls in that we can't find better leadership than what we are having to settle for. Eventually, they'll be playing in front of empty stadiums. Hell, they should pay us to come watch the sh*t shows we've seen for some time now in the football, basketball and baseball programs.

The problem is spending money on a coach.

No, they have money. You get what you pay for. UT has bargain shopped for too long and had to settle on mediocre coaches because of the incompetent idiot that was their puppet running the show. Money can be found if they want to be serious. It takes a coordinated effort between the admin and the people giving them money. I don't have faith in either of them getting it right until Cheek is out of office though.

Yup. Booger needs to go.

**** the NCAA. Pearl got screwed by a greedy for-profit company that hands down arbitrary punishments for minor offenses.

"Lying" to the NCAA about something like a BBQ should never constitute severe punishment. Who is the NCAA to make judgment calls like that?

Coaches and conferences have had enough, and that corrupt organization will be referred to in past-tense soon enough.

Start lying to your boss at work...see how long you stay employed, and if they would EVER hire you back.

Nobody likes a liar...esp when that liar leaves you on NCAA probation.

we told you guys CUSA was better than you thought...too bad you guys never listen.

It appears that the Big 12 isn't too shabby either, eh?

And really, a Tiger High fan trying to come in here and talk down to us with Pastner as a coach is a complete joke too. It's like a damn comedy pyramid. UT and Tiger High will both be looking for a new coach eventually. You're just too stupid to recognize it.

Cuonzo is just a few shades above Wade Houston as far as in-game coaching. Tonight convinced me this is a losing proposition going forward for UT. Having this kind of talent with these results is demonstrably incompetent and disappointing. Tim Floyd might be a worthless human being and a proven cheat, but he absolutely exposed 'Zo. Never been a Bruce Pearl lover, but I'm convinced he wins 28 games with this talent.

The NCAA cleared Floyd of any wrongdoing with OJ Mayo.

LOL, show me a person that has never lied at work. Just silly.

I don't know why Josh wanted to play OSU...I remember Larry Finch's Tigers got their butts beat by OSU...then Cal's Tigers...now Josh's Tigers...I'd prefer to not play them again...but I bet we do.

I think he's made Wichita State his home.

It's weird no one hired him before. I wonder if something is off about him. Even before the Final Four his resume was excellent.

People Who Know Things have intimated that Marshall is a VERY odd guy and can be difficult to work with, although he's a hell of a coach and now he's got a Final Four (with a mid-major!) on his resume.

Assuming another loss to Xavier today, we've already dug ourselves a pretty deep hole - the UTEP loss is a serious blow and will loom large when the committee looks at bubble teams. I just don't see enough opportunities for resume wins, unless somehow we go into Rupp and beat UK or something.

To your boss? I don't, I enjoy keeping my job...must be something in the water in Knoxville.

LMAO. Okay. Show me someone that has never lied to their boss. In fact, I think you are lying right now. You are saying you have never lied to your boss. Never sat there and told him (or her) that something was a good idea when it wasn't? Never sat there and told them that you were ready to do a project when you weren't? Never sat there and told them that you liked dealing with a customer when you didn't? Sorry, but you are an idiot or very naive to think that people don't lie at work. You say something must be in the water in Knoxville, but the *real truth* is that some of you just aren't dealing in reality.

And, really, folks seem to all fired up to get the pitchforks out on Pearl and getting on the high horse over lying yet never leave any blame on the NCAA (they aren't exactly saints to begin with but were also not exactly straight up with Pearl either), the UT admin (Booger, Hamilton et al left Pearl high and dry), and Craft (screw him). Pearl wasn't the only one in this situation that lied.

Keep an eye open on Archie Miller at Dayton. Good coaching family, he is 34, Dayton has already beat Gonzaga. Doesnt stayed glued to his seat during games.

I really thinks he gets another year. Money drives these decisions and the loss of revenue from season tickets won't show up until next fall.

Also, his contract will have something to do with it. Anyone know what's left on his contract and buyout status?
