O'Donnell is such a .... !!

Seriously, the GOP is in tatters, no one (not even within it) respects its chairman, it has been coopted by talk radio more interested in ratings than telling people that really everything is going to be okay, and is in full scale fratricide as between seasoned politicians and Molly Milktruck.

You have a party in power that is potentially losing both houses of Congress. The sitting President went in with soaring approval ratings and has lost over 20% of that. He's losing independents and even his base. That MSNBC forum had his own base whimpering about having to fight for him. His own party is actually running AGAINST the President's agenda.

I can go on and on if you like. For a party in tatters, the GOP appears to be doing well in polls and fundraising. I guess the Dems are just doing wonderful.

The typical Democratic Party tactic---try and destroy a female Republican candidate. You can always tell who the Dems fear---the person they go to all lengths to destroy.

Disconnect your fax machine from the daily meanderings of the DNC. They are in trouble and they know it.

She came from behind to beat Cassell so it is definately still a race. "All politics is local."

If she is inconsequential why all the DNC attention? I am waiting for Coons to run on the Democratic record thus far. Not a chance, it is easier to smear the opponent.

I don't think she's inconsequential at all. She's scary as hell. I don't want to live in New Iran.

It is a myth that the GOP is more popular than Dems. It isn't. Polls show Americans disfavor the GOP equally. There is a wave of antiincumbency right now and the right has been motivated to vote by the fearmongers.

You are entitled to your own opinion. But not your own facts.

They were too busy conditioning him to be a Kenyan tribesman fighting off colonial rule.

Gingrich is now being called out even by the established right as having completely lost his mind at this point.

Where are the stable, reasoned voices of the right? Who will step forward to calm the troops down, explain that economics and social policy all move incrementally, and that Beck's theory that the moment health insurance reform kicks in will signal the anti-Christ to come forward and ravage the Earth is hoopla to get you to buy a book?

Seriously, the GOP is in tatters, no one (not even within it) respects its chairman, it has been coopted by talk radio more interested in ratings than telling people that really everything is going to be okay, and is in full scale fratricide as between seasoned politicians and Molly Milktruck.

Give me a break. There is a difference between hating the GOP and living in a fantasy.

When did Mexico become Mexico? It was New Spain before then.

1821. It included large parts of what is now the western part of the US. Some hispanic people living there have been doing so continuously since that time, despite the territories Mexico gave up at the end of the US-Mexican war. So yes, Mexicans have in a sense been living in parts of this country longer than those parts have been part of the US.

every poll I've seen has Repubs beating Dems in generic races. Where are your facts?

Obama seems to think Mexicans existed far before America was even an idea. But I forgive him. Hawaii and Indonesia schools were probably not big on American history and western civilization.

How do we get 57 states?

51. Puerto Rico
52. Cuba
53. Guam
54. Philipines
55. Indonesia
56. Ireland
57. Kenya

Disfavoring is one thing. Willing to vote for the lesser of evils is another. Polls also show a massive surge for endless GOP candidates. Look at polls in OH and PA - two states Obama swung his way last election. They are swinging back R and with a fervor. Look at Feingold in WI.

I'd be happy to show you polls to prove you wrong. But your history shows a complete denial of facts so I won't waste my time. I'll just recommend you visit the Real Clear Politics polling section to get your education. I won't hold my breath though.

Gallup said that the Rs have the biggest lead over
the Ds in their 68 year history of taking a generic
poll.

The funny part is that the Dhimmicraps don't even
seem to be able to be honest with themselves about
why they face a disaster in november.

You didn't hear Obama's quote did you? Go back and listen to it. Then come back and edit your answer. Long before America was even an idea....we're talking 1770's here. Last I checked New Spain was what it was called and those there were Spanish, slaves, indigenous, and mixed races. Mexicans came along later by definition.

maybe I missed it, but has she said anything to indicate that she would allow her religious beliefs to influence her politically?

I get it that you're frightened of Christians who aren't afraid to wear their faith on their sleeves, but the hyperbole directed toward her is getting to be ridiculous.

Further, in the interest of fairness, I demand to see the full context of her remarks from Maher's show. Shirley Sherrod was taken out of context, so let's have the full story on what was going on in that episode of "Politically Incorrect".

How does any of this change that she is a ****ing idiot? Do we really want another idiot in Washington?

Why not leave it to the people in Delaware? Why are you so up in arms about their problem? Considering the idiots working in the Oval Office and Old Executive Office Building, one more 'idiot' in DC won't matter.

Why be so concerned? LG says the country hates Republicans so odds are the Dems will have the votes to stop anything she votes on.

she'd be replacing one of the biggest fracking idiots ever to hold elective office, Joe Biden. So why all the histrionics?

If we're restricting funding to stem cell research because of religious beliefs it is affecting me. When we clearly are a country that doesn't hesitate to have laws based on religious morality (gay marriage, some places have laws against certain sexual acts) it can affect me.

recent advances in adult stem cell research have been impressive. And just because there is no government funding for something doesn't mean it won't happen.

Obama himself is against gay marriage and his limpwristed handling of "don't ask, don't tell" has been especially pathetic.

If a place has a law against a particular sex act that you like to practice, don't go there.

the countries that allow stem cell research haven't come up with anything of note at all. i agree the ban is stupid, but there is no evidence that stem cell is teh cure all everyone says it is.

1. Yes. That doesn't mean that arbitrarily narrowing the scope of research is a good thing. Advances in fuel efficiency doesn't mean we shouldn't research alternative fuels.

2. I despise Obama on practically everything. I just don't channel that into blind loyalty to his opponents. Kudos on the "limpwristed" thing. Ironically funny.

3. No. I have constitutional and natural freedoms that shouldn't be trampled on. I should have the freedom to receive legal blow jobs in Texas.

The US is often the leader on these things.

1. but you're ok with the government limiting our access to sources of energy that are proven to work?

2, 3 There is nothing O'Donnell has said to indicate that she will introduce legislation of any kind that will trample on your rights or your freedoms. What's worse, "blind loyalty to his (Obama's) opponents" or an irrational fear of a young, white Christian woman who has said some pretty dumb things but has given no indication that she will seek to enforce her will upon you?

1. Nope. Don't try to sort me into a political box. I'm my own animal.

2,3. Blind loyalty to Obama is worse, imo. Still am not a fan of stupid politicians who say outrageous things.
