Offensive Coordinator candidates

He will do exactly what he did at UCF. He will promote Halzle to be at least Co-OC and Heupel will call plays for a year and ease him into it. Halzle will learn the job just like Golesh and eventually take on the full roll after a year or two. Its more about understanding Heupel's offense than anything.

if he does this do you think Heupel goes after a dedicated TE coach or a recruiting specialist?

Assuming Heupel promotes Halzle then a young coach I like is Nathan Scheelhaase from Iowa State, young energetic rising star, elite recruiting abilities, has worked with RBs and WRs. But I say bring him in as TE coach and Co OC. He could be a young star like we have with Halzle at QBC, and Pope WRC.

Halzle has been with CJH for 14 years. He’s a former QB, and knows the offense inside and out. I’d be shocked if Heup doesn’t promote from within. He would also likely remain the QBs coach. Woukd also allow Heup to hire a TE coach who maybe brings some other qualities to the staff.

Hope it's Halzle as OC/QB coach and we hire a TE coach who can recruit at a high level as well as train the position. Really liked Golesh as an OC but never saw the TE's become much of a factor as pass catchers.

I’d be good with this or Jeff Grimes or Jeff Lebby.
