Offensive Coordinator candidates

I am worried Milton will announce he is going pro soon after the bowl announcement.

Not happening I don't believe. He would have gone through all the SR Day stuff if that was his plan, plus he would be lucky to get drafted right now. If he has a good season next year then he could get drafted.

I don’t know the man; however if you check with Nebraska they will tell you he is cancer.

Over the past few seasons I have heard he ran off players, ran off recruits, ran off coaches……by his attitude and the way he treated people. You can’t believe everything……but there was a lot of stuff, and for several years…..not to mention he never wanted to take responsibility.

I don’t think this would be any type of fit at Tennessee.

7 seasons as HC = 6 losing seasons and the one jackpot season. I got caught up in his hype before Pruitt…….however it “seems” it may have simply been hype.

What does "if you check with Nebraska" even mean? Like if I call the operator and I ask to be connected to Nebraska, someone can give me that answer?

I can almost always word something more appropriate.

However if you can’t figure it out, even more words better can’t help ya.

And yea just call Nebraska they fired him for a plethora of reasons.

Mike Bloesch out of North Texas and Ben Arbuckle of Western Kentucky both had success last year with spread/air raid game plans that I think could adjust well in Heupel's system and under his guidance.

Translation - I read it on a message board, where everyone is as smart and well informed there as they are here, and now I'm trying to act like I'm connected and well-informed while simultaneously butchering the English language.

How's that for more words better?

Or how about

I’ve seen different articles about different situations over different years. I don’t know if all of that was true however I know some was because I could follow the ramifications.

I know several people there and they have heard of multiple situations.

As I stated you can’t believe everything……however when there was as much as there was one can can conclude at least some of it was true.

We also could all see different press conferences where “he” at times did not take responsibility and at “times” shifted responsibility. Not every time…..but at times……that’s not what a leader does.

You can think he is a saint. I’m fine with that. I used to think he would be the very best option for Tennessee; however I learned better within the first couple years he was at Nebraska…….which had zero to do with wins and losses.

Just because YOU do not keep up with something doesn’t mean others do not as well. Just because YOU don’t know something doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t……..and they don’t need to be an insider when there is lots of information all over the place.

Nebraska coach Scott Frost receives one-year show-cause, suspension as NCAA investigation concludes

Troubling Scott Frost Story Goes Viral: Football World Reacts - The Spun: What's Trending In The Sports World Today

From: Dan Mennella
“Nebraska football head coach Scott Frost ignited a firestorm on social media after he seemed to relish in overworking some of his players at summer practices.”

There are many more and a ton over the years. Him being drunk, disrespectful to assistants and players, bad recruiting habitats, seriously running off players and recruits…….good ones.

Jeff Scott would be an ironic pick, essentially trading positions w/USF.

Horrible Head Coach but was a very successful and well respected OC at Clemson for some of their Nat'l Championship runs.

His teams still scored more than folks would assume, given their record (O wasn’t really the problem).

I still like Chad Morris (USF offensive analyst) or Willy Korn (Coastal Carolina OC) as our OC.

Both love the kind of offense we run, both are good recruiters, and both are available for SEC OC money.

Lol why would you think that?
LOL
Because Heupel doesn’t need a big name, it’s his offense.
Because Riley is a year away from a head coaching job and a guy coming in for just one year likely won’t be a fit in what they are looking for.
Because his salary demands will likely be through the roof.

LOL

All true. But wasn't Huepel let go from his Sooner duties in favor of Lincoln Riley ?

What on earth is your point? Lincoln Riley came from ECU. He was t going from a power 5 to a power 5, he was taking a clear promotion. He wasn’t with a playoff team. He didn’t go to a team with a head coach who was the mastermind of the offense he would be running. It’s totally different. LOL
