offensive coordinator named

Guys, something we can overlook is chemistry. He's worked with these same coaches for years.

We'll have enough learning curve with the players. I have no problem with him hiring some of his most trusted staff.

No..I can understand Bajakian but no need to bring a defensive coordinator that was fired from UGA

CBS Sports says Bajakian is/was the best OC in the Big East in 2012:

Big East: Bearcats OC Mike Bajakian heads list of league's top offensive coordinators - CBSSports.com

I do hope CBJ spends the rest of that assistant salary money wisely and hires a stud DC though. That is far and away the team's most pressing need in 2013.

I hope Jones and any coach he hires is the sh*t but being the best in the big least is no big deal imo. All we can do now is guess these guys will be good or bad, no one knows for sure either way but he's not building the best staff in the country!

Bajakian has some NFL experience as well. Like his schemes. Good balance of run - pass. Let's give him a opportunity to show that he can get it done in the SEC.

I'm more worried about the "D" side of the 'ball.
Jancek will probly be moved to (LB) position coach. For DC Zook, Narduzzi, or Heacock would be worth a look, IMO.

Sorry but I don't like it. I don't want the main coaches of the Cincy staff to be ours. If he was serious about building the best staff in the country, he lied.

Come on now. You usually go with who you know.
Apparently he thinks they are a good staff. Time will tell, until then don't worry,:dance:be happy:dance2:!
GO VOLS!

i can agree on the OC...id like to throw some money at a big name DC though even know they had solid stats on defence in Cin and lets face it if we put up them stats we'd probly be in a big bowl and Dooley still be here!

We can't afford to miff on the defensive side of things.

Bajakian I am comfortable with, NOBODY on the defensive staff I feel comfortable with. Hopefully Jancek is coming as LB coach

And possibly land Petrino as an OC like that article speculates, we just did Bearcat nation a HUGE favor.

I think this is a smart hire. He is comfortable with him and they have had success so the transition should be easy.

I hate Petrino but with his offensive style and Tubbs defensive style, Cincy will be pretty solid. Lol you're welcome bearkittens!

For those that don't know. Cinci has been pumping out NFL ready draft picks one after the other every year CBJ was there with these coaches.

I am okay with whoever he feels comfortable working with. It is a team sport.

Point is he promised to build the best staff in the country and that's not what he is doing. He's taking care of his guys which I understand but I don't see other schools knocking down the doors of Cincys OC and DC. Guess we'll find out in about 9 months.

Do you know the facts behind his "firing" from GA? I think it had a lot more do with Martinez being fired and Jancek being one of "his" coaches. Richt had to make the change or it was his head on the chopping block. Don't act like he was just a horrible coach at UGA, or did something bad to get fired.
Look at his Defensive stats a Cincy before you post useless drivel.

Thank god we won't have the same guy who was calling plays at the end of the UGA and USC jr. games. WE had both on the ropes and let them off with pass every down.

I'm cool with this until it becomes obvious he's in over his head.

We're forgetting that there actually some good football coaches out there.

We've forgotten what it's like to see a staff have a game plan. We've forgotten what it's like to make half time adjustments. We've forgotten what it's like to see a staff develop its philosophy around its personnel.

It will be okay. Give it a chance. They sound confident in what they do. Let them do it. In the end, you may be glad you did.

who says hes gonna be our DC, he said he would be open to LB coach if needed, and DC was definitely not guaranteed to him, so it seems CBJ wants a big name DC and his own guy on staff, im down for that.

Oh and look at Cincy's defense the last three years, top 20 in scoring defense last year, 1st in TFL, 2nd in Sacks
