Vanderford is sure coming out of the blue. 14 straight innings without a run. He's going to force Serrano to play him next year.

J. Peterson, not playing for the Grizzlies tonight...only eastern/mid west games left is Lance's Steam and Charpie's Rox...

Menlo Park Legends game (Z. Grotz) also cancelled...

For a little perspective...Owenby crushed in that league last year, so did Dalton Saberhagen.

I'm glad to see Vanderford doing well after red shirting, but the competition in the CCL isn't that of the Cape or even Alaska...Moberg, for instance had a BA of .188 this past season, now he leads the team and is fourth in the entire CCL. I'm happy these guys and Bramlett are doing well, but I wouldn't put much too much stock in it.

On the other hand, a guy like Ethan Bennett has a sophomore season about like Moberg's, plays summer ball for Laconia (Eric Freeman) and goes from .188 to .321. Of course, Bennett hit 7 HR's as a true freshman, he could hit, just had a soph. slump deal going on I guess.

So, it could mean something, certainly can't hurt a players confidence, but it may or may not translate and I've learned not to get my hopes up too much.

All you can do is beat your competition. If they do that on an extremely well level, I'll be happy.

Kyle Serrano getting the ball to start tonight, and Nick and Jordan are both in the starting line up for Matsu as they take on the Glacier Pilots for this Fridays...

How did his control look?

Much better than his last outing. He was hitting some corners, looked good...the video (at least for me) wasn't very good, neither was the audio, so I listened to the Pilot's announcers and they were very impressed with KS, when he didn't come back for the 5th they said "Thank Goodness, Serrano is done."
