And again gamboa does well but not as well as he can. A bit disappointing from an entertainment standpoint but he still flashed why he can be great

Thanks for turning me on to him. Been looking for some more fighters to follow.

If you want to see why he's special, go back and look at the gamboa v solis fight. This last one wasn't that level but he's worth watching in the future

And that is why I don't pay to watch this crap. Larry Merchant was pretty funny though. "I wish I was 50 years younger because I'd kick your ass".

cheap shot by floyd. I understand boxers should protect themselves at all times, but ortiz was gonna tap gloves and floyd knocks him out with a left right combo,...come on. Talk is, they may DQ floyd

Glad I don't watch boxing. I've always thought Floyd Mayweather was the biggest p.o.s in boxing. He proved it the other night. The way he won the fight and the way he acted after, dude is straight up thug. He should be in jail was his uncle or whoever it is that trains him. This crap would never happen in UFC. They don't jab and run, and they don't take cheap shots. The biggest bad ass wins, period. The way Pretty Gay fights is the opposite of bad ass. Maybe him and Rashad Evans can hook up for a match. 0 blows would be exchanged because they'd be too busy trying to tap each other on the chin and hide.

And Manny Steward defends this somehow

Even though I still find this whole thing to be pretty ugly, starting with Ortiz and his battering ram attempt, initially most of my anger was incorrectly directed at Mayweather. He still took a cheap shot (something he's done before when he fought Gatti) but it was after time had been called in. When it happened live I thought Cortez was still coordinating with the time keeper and hadn't indicated to resume the fight with the traditional "let's box" and raising his hands from in between the two.

Now everybody seems to agree that there was an audible "time in" from Cortez and, if that was the case, I do lean more to the camp of people sighting the "protect yourself at all times" mantra.

So, what was Cortez looking at to his right Noch? I just dont get it.

Appears to be he was looking at the time keeper still to make sure he had started the clock again. Still a huge mistake by Cortez, he can't start the fight and then turn his back on the two fighters, but that still isn't Mayweather's fault.

Agree.
All in all a very strange fight. Ortiz's head butt started all this crap in the first place.
