If we play like we are capable of playing (especially defensively) we should be able to run Vandy off of the court. Not to take anything away from them, but this is about US now. Stay in the right side of that bubble baby Vols

When Vandy plays well no one runs them off the court. I am sorry but if they play well that game isn't about us as they are better. It's just their bad is much worse than ours.

Vandy is very hit and miss, hot and cold, streaky and when they are on, they are lethal. I agree with that.

But we have to guard the perimeter, run them off of the 3 point line, and contest shots. When their shots aren't falling, they are very, very bad like you said.

So my point stands. It is about OUR defense. If we play solid defense, they will never have a chance to play well. If we aren't invested on that end if the court, they will get red hot.

Nevermind. I'm retro-halucinating...lol.

This is a big reason why we beat them in Nashville. They were ice cold from the perimeter, but they got good looks. We have to defend the perimeter better. We can't just assume/hope they are off from the opening tip. They are a more talented, veteran team playing a rival on the road. They'll come to play.

Vandy shot well against us in Nashville. We won because their defense was awful and Bone got hot.

They shot 53% and 43% from 3.

Wow, you're absolutely right. I'm totally misremembering that game. I seemed to remember LaChance and Fisher-Davis having awful shooting nights, but even they weren't "awful". Those two weren't much of a factor, but weren't bad offensively.

I must need sleep.

Lol. We just got hot and played above our head on offense really in that game.

UT beat Vandy because Bone had his best performance of the season, plain and simple. He was knocking down everything, including some 3's.

I wouldn't count on a repeat performance from him. UT needs to step up defensively and close out on their shooters or they will lose.

Their perimeter defense has been atrocious as of late. If they allow Vandy to get open looks, and they are on, it will be a long night.

I forsee Vandy being lights out from 3.

GT and Syracuse have interesting schedules. They play each other again to end the season. Syracuse plays duke at home and at louisville. They'd have to sweep all those to finish with a top 50 rpi I believe. GT plays Pitt, Notre Dame and NC State and would also have to sweep for a top 50 rpi. Hard schedules for both.

I think both likely are left out
