Official Duke/UNC 2016-17 Thread

idc. The claims/declarations were ridiculous.

Heaven forbid a kid isn't ready to play right away after 2 knee surgeries or any injury. I can't believe they're not all-stars yet after only playing 6 games.

My opinion is that you guys need a true PG. a Tyus or Joel type player.

That guy is Grayson if they will just commit to him. The two games they stuck with him the ball movement was great. Last night when they used in him that role the game was close and we even had the lead, but as soon as the tried to make Frank the PG it didn't work at all. The coaching decisions this staff has made this year have been very frustrating.

Allen just can't stop doing stupid s*** on the court.

He didn't do anything wrong.FSU coach just came out and said he did nothing. It's his own fault that he's living under this microscope, but ESPN is pathetic for the way they are covering this.

I agree with this one. Also ESPN is just plain terrible these days.

He isn't a true PG.

I won't count anything when Duke goes to Tallahassee. K himself has sh** the bed a dozen times there.

Tatum is really skilled, but man does the ball stick to his hands....

He's starting to remind me of another #0 that played at Duke a few years back. At least Allen is playing his ass off today. It's just ashame that Jefferson is hurt and that Bolden and Jeter are both pu$$ies.

Tatum and Allen have to be consoled after every single call by teammates...

If that's what has to happen after every call for Grayson to play games like he did today then you won't hear any complaints from me.

I'm getting a little sick of Tatum. I think he's a big reason for this team's issues. Doesn't pass, lets missed shots affect his whole game, attitude is poor. Duke actually plays better without him on the court.

Theo Pinson is yalls Amile Jefferson. Just fixes everything and makes everything look so much better.

Nah.Berry,Jackson and Hicks are way more important. He will help handle the ball and make plays when Berry is out though.

I can see the Rivers comp.

Side note: Pitino is a questionable human being, but the guy can flat out coach some defense for 40 minutes.

Those guys are your featured players though - Pinson's the glue that keeps it all together and takes the team to the next level.

Now Close your eyes and imagine if Donovan Mitchell were white in a Duke uniform and Grayson Allen were black in Louisville uniform.

I don't look at it from a racial standpoint. I just look at it as if it were Grayson, he'd be on his way to jail for assault.

I haven't watched the games nearly as much this year as in years prior, due to my job situation mostly, but what I have seen of this team thus far, it's really fun to watch. This group is quickly becoming my favorite UNC squad since '06, partly because - as with that team - I didn't expect a whole lot out of them and partly because they're a scrappy bunch with a heart (something often lacking in Roy Williams' UNC teams).

Whatever the final outcome of this season, I'm going to enjoy what I can.

That UNC-Kentucky game from a few weeks back was an all-timer. Unfortunate it didn't go our way.
