Forgive me for asking but how old is your wife's dad?

95. She's going over to help with his computer. He's healthy and still drives without problem. He did offer me a couple of chainsaws a few years ago, and I took them with the thought that it might keep him from climbing trees with them more than need. He fell off his garage roof in his 80s while trimming a downed tree and broke a couple of ribs. She's also helping her brother on and off since a stroke a couple of years ago, but I can't convince her being closer to them would be better. She doesn't like my other house; I even dropped an offer of having a master bedroom suite built on, but so far no bites from her.

Luckily came in at a good time. It had bothered all night. At 8:00 this morning I took my temperature and had a fever. Had my wife take me then. The doctor and surgeon both said that it looked like it had just started to swell on the CT scan. After the surgeon took it out he told my wife it was close to rupturing and was covered in pus. Thank god they got it when they did.

Get well soon! We are all fortunate that advanced medical techniques make this stuff so much safer and easier to tolerate.

@McDad @hog88 (or anyone else who may have advice to provide)

Just bought my first mobile home park. If I’m not mistaken both of you have experience with rentals (perhaps not lot rentals specifically). If so, would either of you be open to emailing and providing advice from time to time? For example I’ve never went through the legal eviction process before.

My wife is the one with multi-family experience, she handles all of that and I just listen and nod my head. McDad is the Leona Helmsley of VN. But congrats man, that is awesome.

I'm pretty sure you can never go wrong with a barber shop with a checkerboard floor and a barber who knows how to use a straight razor.
Hopefully he has a leather strap to sharpen that razor with.
Just out of curiosity, how many guys here remember when they used to shave above your ears with a razor when you got a haircut?

I do. A true barber still does above your ears and your neck with the straight razor.
I'm a creature of habit and went to the same barber for 20 years or more until he retired, he always did the straight razor over the ears and the lower neck with the shaving cream that came out of a machine that sounded like a blender on high speed.
Now I just go for the luck of the draw at Great Clips and flip em a 20 and in and out in 10 minutes.

I went to same guy for years until he closed up shop. Now my wife cuts my hair, it's a buzz cut so not too difficult.
