You can go fast around corners in a 67’ GTO ragtop, it just that you’re sideways and damn near outta control when you do.

Growing up in that era with friends who had GTOs and similar was risky business. Never did get to drive a GTO, but I did drive a friend's '66 390 Fairlane GT. The clutch was like a beartrap. I distinctly remember having to sit through a couple of lights coming up 17th to turn onto Cumberland. Left leg was getting a bad case of the shakes by the time I finally got through the light. Had to look good for the passengers, though, so it was grin and bear it situation. My first time with 4 on the floor, too; all the previous experience was three on the column.

I don't think I was ever little, came out the womb at almost 10 lbs. Sometimes I do wish I was littler, when something hits the ground it is a long way down.

Maybe the top of the line M5. Maybe.
I have a clk350, it holds over 7 quarts and uses a cartridge filter. I do it myself for around $100. MB wants $275 here in Knoxville. It's a V6, so a V8 or a V12 may be in that range.
