We were in the red zone 4 times in the first half and got one td. We tried to convert 4th and 3 inches by having our players run 15 years along the line of scrimmage. We had an illegal substitution penalty to end the first half on a made field goal....
I re-direct you to last year and two players with same jersey numbers on the field at the same time. Or countless times in the last two years we've had to call timeouts as the play clock ran down after TV timeouts.
Heck, we might be able to fire him for cause, though we'd be sued for discriminating against his obvious mental disability.
Yeah. It was a tough one. But yeah, better a win than a loss.
We aren't a very good team. Maybe a top 25 school. But we don't belong in the playoffs
Our offense is atrocious. Unbelievably bad. There's something going on.
Yeah, it's such a complex thing but my initial reaction is to not like it. I don't see having a college football team on walk ons, scholarship, scholly + basic NIL, major NIL players meshing all cohesive all the time.Maybe the guys on the line feel underappreciated and underpaid while blocking for a QB making millions? I still don't like NIL even a little bit; it has all the potential to wreck the sport without adding much of value - except to a few, and particularly to the manipulators/agents.
Turns out the worst way for me. The visiting team lost a one-point game by about a second which would have set up a potential FG. It was basically a wash in everyone's minds.Tbh I don't like either program. The good news is someone had to lose. I had hoped USC would beat an overrated Penn St as well.
What do you ask think of the Kirby Smart situation from yesterday?
I'm thinking a 3-4 game suspension as a minimum and paying a fine towards the player's NIL that he shoved.
Coaches have been fired for less even if it was "inadvertent."
For those wondering here is the Kirby shove. I don’t think he set out to shove the player as he was clearly focused on the ref. But I also think he knew exactly what he was doing and should likely face some minor sanction.
I’m still not convinced he knew it was an opposing player. I’ve seen him do the same thing to his own coaches trying to hold him back. In a situation like that I can see myself having tunnel vision and not realizing who was behind or beside me. Not an excuse, it should not have happened but it’s not like he grabbed him while looking at him and shoved him.I can’t stand Smart anymore than you but come on. WH repeatedly punched a player, Smart barely pushed this guy.
Was it Kiffin that pushed one of his own players after celebrating on the UT sideline??I’m still not convinced he knew it was an opposing player. Not calling for an end to his career, but a stiff fine and public apology is not over the top in this situation. Instead, it will be ignored. His behavior toward an opposing player was inexcusable IMO.I can’t stand Smart anymore than you but come on. WH repeatedly punched a player, Smart barely pushed this guy.
