Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

after thinking about it, and I haven't watched a replay for some better angles, but I really think we need to spot Bama a 10pt lead. first to lull them to sleep, and just as importantly so that Josh will open up the playbook.

Our offense looked completely different when we were down 10 than before. still looked incompetent at times, but there seemed to be more juice in the playbook.

Was glad to see Pearce making more plays. not sure if he got credit for all of them, but it seemed like he was in on several of the sacks/TFLs.

Was it Kiffin that pushed one of his own players after celebrating on the UT sideline??
If it were Kirby pushing one of his own, that's a different story IMO. But it wasn't. It was an opposing player. It's like a parent/child dynamic. You don't push around another man's kid. And as a head coach, Kirby is supposed to be an example. He screwed up. Shouldn't cost him his job, but there should be punishment to send a message of "this is not okay behavior".

It was a push, my goodness I can't believe the crybabyness over this has me defending KS.

And if the player had gotten injured? He's the head coach. He shouldn't be touching the other team's players. I can't believe something so obvious has to be stated.

*Not the same thing as what Kirby did.

There is no excuse for him shoving the MSU player. The SEC would have disciplined the player if he would have intentionally shoved Smart. Kirby needs to be punished.

Injured from that? Come on, you can what if anything.

People have been accidently injured from less. Hell, Mertz from Florida's injury was supposedly caused by his cleats getting stuck in the turf. But that's not even the point. A coach shouldn't be getting physical with an opposing team's players. He's the head coach. This isn't two players going at each other. It's the head coach. He needs to conduct himself as such. Keep your damn hands to yourself, or at least to your own personnel. Fine his ass, make him apologize to the player, and be done with it.

It's really annoying when reading history, deciding to refresh your geographical memory, and then finding all the damn places have new names. It's especially bad in Asia and the Pacific. We have our own version lately, too. Like reading about Ft Liberty and wondering WTF is a Ft Liberty. Leave history and the names alone!
