Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

The refs aren’t the reason we lost the game. BUT do yall remember 1 time where a questionable call went our way??

Watched with a GA fan. Several several times where he said “Hey. That’s what they called” with a smirk on his face. Not once were we able to do that. Just frustrating that we didn’t play well and the officials favored GA.

Peyton Lewis looks to have potential. One knock though - given where the ball is spotted on kickoffs, WTH does anybody try to catch and run. To make matters worse it seems there's always at least a 50% chance that a block in the back or hold will go along with the run which is generally short of the spot if you do nothing.

We are gonna be the best 10-2 team that will get snubbed. Book it

There's some weirdness coming. Imagine if TAMU beats TU in the last game, winds up the SEC champ and potentially plays TU in the championship game. Or would the fact that GA beat TU put GA in the game. It'll be fun seeing the SEC figure that out - wouldn't put it past them to default to Bama either, but somebody is gonna get screwed - and the loser will probably be out of the CFP, too.

One thing that needs to end is the piped in noise. It's annoying on TV and has to be much worse in the stadium. When it turns off before play, you realize just how much louder it is than the crowd noise. I'd back OSHA or other agency stepping in and putting a stop to it since schools aren't willing to do so.

Don't do it. The water under the bridge would probably kill you, and there's nothing about GA worth dying for.
I won't be dying for Georgia. Eff them. It's Tennessee that broke my heart. Blame Tim Banks for my demise. If that a-hole had simply schemed a way to get pressure on Beck, we could have won that game. Instead, we let him sit in the pocket and destroy us.

That was either the worst the defense has played or GA was really good. I'm thinking the worst the defense (particularly the defensive line) has played - seemed like they were a step or two behind what was happening all night. It was really disappointing after getting used to a very good defense dominating other teams. The defensive backfield looked like the Keystone Cops a few too many times, too.

I'm still thinking this team is on a learning curve that was somewhat covered by an easier than usual schedule. The programs is getting better; the depth is much better; but many of the parts are new, hindering continuity. We lose some critical pieces for next year, so at best it's a couple of steps forward and one back. Nico probably shouldn't have been QB1 last year, but a one and done Joe Milton didn't help prepare for this year at all.

Secondary suffered from the defensive front getting no pressure on Beck. UGA's OL is a walking MASH unit, and we couldn't win the match ups up front. That's concerning. But Banks failed to make adjustments to find some way to get pressure on Beck. Beck falls apart under pressure. The defensive game plan, if there even was one, was horrible.

So, I just want to make sure I’ve got this straight. Your expectation was that we were going to go into Athens and beat Georgia by posting 17 points on the scoreboard.

I need some advice. I got a free $3 ticket for Draftkings as my birthday present from them. What would be a really good NFL fantasy lineup for today? It includes all games today and Monday.

I keep having to tell myself that Nico is a freshman and his best football is yet to come.

He made some very good throws that were dropped. He also has to get thru his progressions. Sometimes he has a tendency to stay locked in on one receiver.
