I would be fine with him being the "regular" play by play guy. it would be just like Bob Kesling, most listeners won't have a clue what is actually going on in the game, but at least they would be excited. heck people would probably pick up on a little Spanish too.

Well...with 48 hours until early signing period opens Wed, it looks like Flarda swooped in and stole Shaedy Hayward. We is a 4* safety that was super shakey his whole recruitment though. If we are gonna lose somebody already committed, that is a good place to lose one. We are set at safety for next season with Boo, Harrison, and Thomas who has been injured all year...as well as some younger guys playing behind them and Brooks. Listened to Matt Rays report from last night and we are trying to add a couple new guys ourselves in addition to the near 5* top 50 Dlineman Campbell from NC who is expected to be a VOL. Its the Wild West out here now with absolutely no rules in NIL and very few that matter anymore in recruiting.

This is by far the best class CJH staff has put together yet. Significantly better than last years class which was ranked 10th/11th nationally IIRC. The fact that we are already a playoff team with a legitimate chance to win it all....with last seasons class being our best in 20 years and only Boo and Matthews actually playing...suggests that as we continue to stack these top10 classes with our coaching staff we can definitely win it all again. Soon. We can win it all again this year, I take nothing away from this team and there is no clearly dominant team in ANY conference. I am just saying that our talent level and especially depth still has plenty of room to improve and we will only get deeper each year that we stack these top10 classes. The future is bright Orange.

Hopefully we can keep all the important pieces of this class together and even grab a difference maker or 2 from elsewhere. We have about 20 guys in this class that are gonna be early enrollees...they will be on campus and practicing for the playoffs etc. GO VOLS. 2024

whats weird with Shaedy is that Florida came out of no where. Georgia was the biggest competition for him, and had made multiple runs at him, I think he even visited. Miami was also mentioned.

I don't think Florida even got mentioned except as someone keeping touch with him. this seems like a $$$ thing to me to be so sudden and to an outside player.

100% $$$ IMO. I think he was always gonna be sold to the highest bidder. Flarda is also trying to steal our 4* CB Onis Konanbanny?sp. They were unable to get him on campus this weekend unlike Shaedy though. Shaedy has taken OVs to literally any SEC school that offered him, most of them like UGA more than once. Name fits him lmao...

I am not worried though. All these dudes who are 4* and up are making more $$$ per year than you and I likely do Louder...at some point it comes down to who REALLY WANTS to play for Tennessee. We have proven since day1 with Nico that we are competitive with NIL $$$ with anyone in the nation. You either want to be a VOL or you don't . We dont need mindless mercenaries...look at Ohio State. They brag about having " the most expensive roster in the nation" and just got beat AT HOME by a 21 point underdog that is their WORST enemy. For the 5th year in a row. If we or another SEC school get OSU at home in round 1 of the playoffs and beat them...Coach Day is probably fired. They didnt bring Kelly in for no reason as Offensive Coordinator (he was UCLAs head coach) that dude has been standing behind Day with a knife like Brutus since day 1 on campus.

This is brand new. VOLS get 1st report right at beginning

FWIW, scholarships in the SEC will still be limited to.85 next year. Going to 105 after 2025 if passed, but no more walk ons. All players must be on scholly...closes the Brooks loophole from UT.Screenshot_20241202-182625_Chrome.jpg

I don't agree with that. I think the Walk Ons should still be permitted.
