Conventional wisdom is that even good OL recruits develop for a minimum of two to three years.
Great ones may be able to start day one but it's not a guarantee.

The coaches cost us this game. Yes losing both starting WRs early on hurt us, as did Sampson not being able to carry more than twice. That said: Hype abandoned the run game other than Nico scrambling. Most importantly he REFUSED TO go to the 2TE sets even missing our WRs who were never open anyway. 2TEs beat Bama, Fla, and OK. NCstate too. No excuse for not trying it. Kitselman was a non factor.

On defense Banks refused to blitz and only counted the 4 down lineman to try and get pressure vs 5 Olines and a back. Didnt work...just like at UGA. You have to ve willing to shift strategy in game. These are called adjustments. Everyone else does this...but UT.

I love this staff...they have been great. We need a starting SEC safety RIGHT NOW from the portal. Will cost $$$.
We need Olinemen and Dlinemen too
As well as a stud WR. We were exposed to a serious talent gap. This was a measuring stick game for us.

We need to drop big bucks in the portal or next year is an 8-4 or 9-3 year

Nico played a good game. Ran for our only 2 TDs as well as a bunch of 3rd downs. Was accurate throwing some hard passes into tight coverage.

Eason absolutely destroyed us with that 15yd stupid senseless facemask penalty ON 3rd down when he had the guy for a sack . That was a sure thing, 3 and out on their 1st posession...our ball at midfield. The penalty gave them a 1st down at the 50 which they easily scored on with a lomg TV. So instead of us maybe going up 7-0 or at least 3-0 instead of being down 7-0 five minutes into the game was huge. 10 or 14 point swing was caused by sheer stupidity to run up to a Qb and blatantly grab his facemask instead of going for the ball or the guys waist at least. HUGE unforced error and it killed us early.

We gonna have to be aggressive now in the portal. Dont have the joes to beat the top 3 or 4 teams with these few holes in the roster
