I cannot be far. I live in Charleston.
SC? Not too far from me in Charlotte. Charleston is nice man. The SC coast is nice, and the mountains up near TN arent bad either. The rest of the state not so much. Greenville SC has come a long way though, I would raise a family there. Built an apartment complex down there a few years ago.
Overrun by whom? Them damn Yankees? I’m through Greenville Spartanburg area fairly frequently. It’s amazing the growth over the past twenty years.
You wouldn’t want to come to Greenville. The entire upstate is being overrun.

Yeah its been maybe 5 or 6 years since i built that project near the college. Not Bob Jones or North Greenville, it was near a private college with a 2 word name. I cant remember the school though lol. It seemed nice then...but admittedly i just worked there and didnt hang out or go places except to eat lunch.
You flying into there much? What did you think about that near collision that almost killed the Gonzaga BBall team the other day? I posted about it in Gramps thread but none of you pilots or ATC guys responded...
Yeah, Knoxville, particularly West Knox is in the same boat. The number of new apartments built in the past five years or so is astounding. I can't even fathom a guess as to the number of units added. Can't find a lot to build on in West Knox at all unless it's a big piece of property that a developer with deep pockets is building out. Quite a few new neighborhoods have gone up in the past five years within a couple of miles of us that are just wedged in and on top of each other. We're stuck in our house for the long haul, not that that's a bad thing....we just can't find a lot build on unless we go waaaay out. It’s too much too fast. I’d say a large part are those flocking from the north but it’s really people from all over. Traffic is ridiculous everywhere. Every scrap of land is being developed into apartments or some other bs.
With the units at Watt, Kroger, and Turkey Creek, I don't know where all those kids are going to go to school. The Farragut schools are already busting at the seams. The number of new apartments built in the past five years or so is astounding.

As for houses in the area: people are buying old houses in Village green, etc area for $500k+ and gutting/resurfacing them. A house up the street from me sold recently for $1M that is a brick rectangle, nothing special. My old neighborhood has houses going for 2-3x what they should be. It's insane.
I'd sell tomorrow for over double what we have in ours, but there's no feasible option to stay in the area... even with land and building (a barndo on some land would be my pick).
I think this Charleston is the one between Tasso and Tellico Plains.SC? Not too far from me in Charlotte. Charleston is nice man. The SC coast is nice, and the mountains up near TN arent bad either. Sorry. Tennessee. The Hiwassee River is the northern boundary.SC? Not too far from me in Charlotte. Charleston is nice man. The SC coast is nice, and the mountains up near TN arent bad either. Not sure of the college you would be referring to off the top of my head. Furman would be another one. North Greenville is still a pretty good area. Play golf up there on occasion (or use to) right by the college, Cherokee Valley.
