Yep. What Peter Burns said on Finebaum yesterday was actually spot on. He called Currie and Gruden out and said they have a responsibility to put it to bed if it's not realistic because if they don't say something and say something quick, the coach they hire will be a huge letdown and at a disadvantage right out of the gate. He's 100% spot on.

Exactly right. It’s at a fever pitch right now and it needs to be shut down if it’s not going to happen. It seems like in the past Gruden or his camp has shut it down way before now. That is what makes me think that there is something to it outside of the Grumors.

Me too. I'm watching Currie and Gruden more than message board rumors and what I'm seeing is very telling.

I agree, If Gruden isn't the guy thats fine. If he goes from Gruden to Mullen without making serious offers to Peterson and Patterson then that is a big problem for Currie.

Saw that and that told me he's giving the current coaches 2 games to prove themselves and he's trying not to overshadow them. We have him locked up imo.

If it's not Gruden. He has NO choice but to address the Grumors regardless of who the #2 is. I think most Grudenites could get behind someone else if they had to. He really, as far as I'm concerned has no choice.

This worries me, Doug Matthews was just on the radio in Nashville and made the statement that the recruits have been told we will hire someone around December 10th. Not the news I was hoping for, because if its Gruden (who I want) why would we wait till then? Anyways hope we really get this done and Doug doesnt know. Heading out to Knoxville now. GO VOLS!

he's thinking it not gruden ... someone currently coaching, and that negotiations with a current sitting coach won't begin until after season is over.

I think its happening because at this time any other year we'd be hearing of leaks in national media of us meeting with coaches of other schools. We haven't really heard much of that at all.
