Here is a question for all. Can one be a true Vol fan and root for UT to lose for the long term health of the program?

If you have to seek an opinion on your fanhood you are not a fan. Jump on another bandwagon. Hypothetically of course.

I'm not doing what you stated, but I'll offer my thoughts anyway..Instead of rooting for UT lose, root for a change for the better...Wear your orange and still support them..Make sense?:ermm:

As for me, I NEVER root for UT to lose.

That has been my thoughts on the matter all along. Hope for better days ahead. NEVER would I root for Bama against UT.

Your opinion isn't lame, sir. It's much appreciated and you're always welcome to post here.

I would expect all Vol fans to cheer for the their team b/c no one wants them to lose but unfortunately, we just feel that there is absolutley no chance for the Vols to win..I'll still wear my orange and support them as I do every game.:salute:

Thank you, sir. I agree about that. I would love Gruden and personally have no confidence Dooley is the answer, but a win over Bama would be 50 shades of epic awesomeness that I wouldnt want to miss out on, even if it meant instant change. I have no issue with those who feel otherwise and can mostly see where they are coming from.

I won't be pulling for us to lose, but it won't hurt as bad either when/if we do.

I think that's accurate of how I feel. I will never pull for them to lose. I hate losing, especially to Bama. However, in my opinion (if rumors are true), losses to Bama would be less frequent in the future making this loss a tad more bearable. The UK loss is the one I just can't accept still, especially living here and loving the history of the program, it's just a nasty stain and it makes me sick that we lost that game, that year, under those circumstances. Bothered me even more that we were told it was part of the process, or aka, "getting scars". Could have done without that scar imo.

I would be ecstatic with a win this weekend. We would dash bamas hope for another title and we will be beating my most hated team.

With that said I must face reality. Out coach sucks and we will not win either of these next two games. It will all take care of itself. While I hate to see my team lose, I know there are better days ahead after we fire Dooley.

With McCarron hurt, will Bama start a receiver at QB?

Might as well.

Its proven to work against our defense.

Seriously. I think Bama could beat us without throwing one pass.

No arguments with that. Talk radio today said that we could stuff the Bama run game because they mostly run inside. But, if true, how long would it take them to start running outside with Yeldon?

TBH, that is what I would start doing right out of the gate. Its where we are weakest. They will have plenty of chances to run over top of us in the 2nd half after we're worn out.
