Wait, you guys are saying this is so far along that boosters have agreed to:
1) pay Dooley's 5mil
2) pay Jon's buyout (which has to be huge since ESPN got that provision)
3) pay Jon a salary of 5+mil
I'll admit I'm not in the "UT loop," but yikes that seems like a lot even for an SEC school.
Hey 24, did you catch the link I posted on the last page? One of the guys made it seem like it was no biggie, but if the deal included a provision that bars him from leaving, it seems like that would be relevant. Maybe this has already been answered 50 pages ago...

payout is about $136,000 a month over 3 years.
Yea, so that takes care of Dooley. But, Gruden is the NFL face of ESPN. With all the joke color "experiments" they've tried (Rush Limbaugh?lol), it's hard to see how it could be so easy to pull him off that show. Again, maybe people here know more than me, but that must be a massive check since the extension went into affect last month.
not when your boosters operate dish network, own the cleveland browns, own the pilot corporation and quarteback the denver broncos, and just have alot of fricken money in general
