So Boro in your best educated guess. How close are we to seeing Gruden on the Vols sidelines next year or possible this year?

Better than 90%....and that is only because of UT's propensity for major eff-ups in the past. This is a new day.....I'm pretty sure of my info.

Can say it enough. Ergen is worth 9 billion. He was sitting with Peyton at the game last night along with Haslam. I don't believe they were talking about giving Dooley a contract extension.

And Thunder is no poor man either and he was sitting in thay group as well. Man that was a sh!t ton of money sitting there

I think the "big boys" have taken the bull by the fuzzies this time around, "boro.....to prevent that from happening.

I know it's hard to believe, but that's pocket change to some people in this world.

Good point.

We have known about this for a while. It's really not a big deal. That is coming from those who have legit info. I'm no insider , but OV , DTO , 'Boro , Jay and a few others have been saying this stuff for weeks and everything they are saying is starting to come together.

I guess something must be happening if multiple guys are all verifying the same story.

not when your boosters operate dish network, own the cleveland browns, own the pilot corporation and quarteback the denver broncos, and just have alot of fricken money in general

Interesting you brought this up cause I was talking with my buddy today about the draft. Before Geno Smith's mid-season implosion, there was starting to be chatter about him passing Barkley over for that #1 pick to the Browns. Now that the Haslam's own the team and can offer a coach a fresh start along with what that pick can command--be it a player or a bunch of trade capital--it seemed like if the Haslam's were involved, they'd want JG to right their billion dollar investment.

But, I've come along way in the past 24 hours. Maybe the UT job is something that really intrigues him...

Off topic, but I wonder who will pay Chizik and staffs buyouts? I heard on the sports news (espn i think) it was around 9.5 million for their buyouts. Add a new coaching contract to that and it makes Dooley and staff's buyout look like chump change.

The most unknown dirty man in college athletics.

Lawder.

Yea, so that takes care of Dooley. But, Gruden is the NFL face of ESPN. With all the joke color "experiments" they've tried (Rush Limbaugh?lol), it's hard to see how it could be so easy to pull him off that show. Again, maybe people here know more than me, but that must be a massive check since the extension went into affect last month.

JMO, but I think they would go back to Ron Jaworski to finish the season.

Thanks Boro. This is the post of the year. I have talked to 2 other donors not big time but donate quite a bit of money and everything that has been said on this board is exactly what they have said.TIFWIW
