Remember when Wes Brown returned that fumble? Kiffin might have bolted on UT, but I think his players liked to play for him, EB visited him over in SoCal awhile back.

Players were excited by and about Kiffin. If the biggest problem with a coach is that he left for his dream job it sucks for us but doesnt point out anything about his coaching. I was pissed like everyone that he left, as were the players. Watch the reactions when Dooley leaves.

There were times some players seemed like they hated his guts, although most players were rejuvenated.

I think Kiffin was the ultimate either you love him or you hate him kind of coach.

height, speed, combines, athleticism and potential. How many times have we seen a guy go in the first round, simply because he performed well at the combine, or how many times have we seen a great player drop to the 2nd or 3rd round by being to short, too slow or have a poor combine performance.

Not at all saying Hunter wil not be a first round pick, but this year he has not looked like a first round pick. Maybe that is because teams are trying to take him out of games, but with the run improving and Patterson garnering more attention Hunter should be shining. Hunter no matter what, if he is as talented as I think he is, should catch at least 5 balls a game. He has had big drops and poor separation skills, but we are not upset because he stinks but because we want to see the Hunter that will be in New York live at the draft.

Dooley should have not said what he did, but there was some truth to the statement as far as this year's performances have gone.

Players have told me "Kiffin was the man." This is obviously off-topic for this thread, so let's move on to more grudenous discussion.

i dont know if all this mess will wait another week. maybe just anticipation but has the feeling of a balloon that is about to pop.

p.s. thanks for the midget porn. i never "knew"..

Just because some bad stuff is coming out on Dooley doesn't mean we have to kiss Kiffins ass. Yea he left for his dream job which is fine but him and ogre calling recruits and telling them not to attend class so he could take them to USC was a dick move. He was and is a prick, looks like Dooley may be too so bring on the next guy and do it right this time!!

Not kissing his ass, commenting on his coaching relationships with the players vs Dooleys. He left like a punk, but if I ever leave the business I run I will take the best people with me. I understand why he did it, but it was a dick move.

The bad stuff, for me at least, has not "just come out" lol. People that know him and or worked with him in the past have been open about it. Sooo many people have been in Big Orange Denial about the brat running our beloved program. He is more like a hybrid of Richie Rich and Dennis the Menace than Saban.

aside from his exit, i liked Kiffin's M.O. he seemed approachable by the players. Dooley seems like a fuhrer, which is o.k. too....if you win.

People including myself may not have agreed with some of his antics but Kiffin was a good coach here whether anyone wants to admit it or not.

How are any of those intangibles? They are all very tangible. Except potential.... but that's pretty vague, and I would argue that it's based on his "tangibles."

I believe the intangibles, i.e. things that cannot be quantified, were mentioned in the last part of his post...the whole dropping catches, poor breakaway, etc....

The intangibles appear to be his lack of production lately...intangibles being what is the reason for his struggles as of late.

Not arguing just want to ask if we can all agree that this is not the same Hunter we all hoped he would be.

I just read that Majors was fired after a loss to USCe , and Fulmer was fired after a loss to USCe. Oh what sweet irony

Actually, it is not irony at all.

Also, I should point out that the reason those firings happened at that time is because in the not so distant past, losing to USC minor was pretty much a firable offense.

I don't claim to know or have ever met Dooley but I thought he was a good guy and hoped he would turn out to be a good coach. I have no problem saying I was wrong but I also don't know people that know CDD so I had no inside info I was just going by public perception.
