Who is saying this?

spartacavolus or whoever has basically said that boosters are making it complicated because Hart should keep his word to new assistants.

I'd hate it but if we have to lose Graham and Pittman to get rid of this necrotic staff... so be it. Sometimes you have to lose something to gain a lot.

That's pending I actually understood him correctly.

Lame duck situations. That is when the blame game brings out all the dirty laundry....the Pennington article, heated verbal exchanges....

Remember how petulant Fulmer got when he started parading Vicky around?

They are trying to do too many things at once, and nobody can pen the exact end of the script. I think it can honestly happen any minute now.

Yeah, that is kinda what I was thinking. You really think it can happen any minute now? I guess what I have been confused about is with a game on the horizen and all of this stuff going on, why the hold-up in releasing him? I just have assumed it was working out the terms of buyout(looking for ways to skirt full buyout, etc). If things I have read or true, it seems like a no brainer to release him and let the staff take it from here, which would likely be a unifying thing for the team and staff (assuming a well liked guy is interim)
Sorry to ask this stuff, not wanting inside info or anything, just anyone's opinions that could shed light on it. I know nothing other than what is on here

It seems like they don't have to buy out all the contracts. Gruden may want to keep a few.

I don't think there is any issue with Jay Graham. I don't remember what Sal was promised, but it is painfully obvious that he cannot be a defensive coordinator next year.

Wow hope the powers that be get to read these 2 threads. Almost 22000 post.Shows a fan base that loves its Vols and wants to win.Great job guys.Know none of you but love u all.

Boosters options are to buy out contracts for assistants and hire Gruden and get Tennessee Football back on the map. They could do nothing keep Dooley and assistants and see attendance drop to a record low next year and funds drop a huge amount.

I think the timeline is all about tying up loose ends. That is less inside info, and more about how these situations work. If they get tied up before this weekend, I think we will see movement before the SC game.

IIRC you're still firmly in the "give Dooley more time even though he can't beat anyone worth anything" corner, right?

And what was Hart's word to the assistants, exactly?

If boosters let Dooley stay because of a Bama assistant that never should have been hired to begin with I'm losing my mind.

Wrong. I have said since the summer that I would watch the season and assume the best decision for our future is made. Never did I think the D would be this bad. Noone did.

And Hart gave DD and the assts hires his word they would get till 2013. That's not just an easy fix in this business.

Hart gave his word to Dooley and the assts. Too much pressure is making that word waiver. AD's, nor coaches, like to be around in situations like that.

Is this "word" the rumored 8-win requirement, as that would explain why CDD is still in office, since 8-4 is technically still in play? Or is this "word" the rumored offer of letting CDD decide how he goes out? Or neither of the two?

Thanks.

I hope so...I don't care if Dooley wins evey game left on this years schedule now....I want this over and Gruden at the helm

so basically they will have to agree on a certain buyout for all the coaches and if to much money involved then boosters will not pay and keep everyone. Is that about right?
