If the agent was being a professional He would say that gruden isn't interested in entertaining a formal offer. That's how the profession works

No it started with my 7 year old then made its rounds to my wife and I in warp speed. Definitely not food borne, dr said its a virus that imitates the flu.

Here is my opinion.....

You have a school (UT) that is trying to keep their coaching search and potential candidates under some serious wraps. If you were another SEC school, would you not want to blow up the other school's negotiations as quick as possible. I think people are forgetting just how high the stakes are in the SEC. This is not the ACC or the PAC where coaches socialize and get along. This is cutthroat football, cutthroat recruiting and serious big-boy football.

If anyone thinks that another SEC school wouldn't jump at the opportunity to sabotage our coaching search, they haven't been watching the SEC in the last 10 year. Huge amounts of money are on the line here and the lines of competitiveness will be shifted with all of these hires.

Coasty, thanks for bringing Alfred back. I clicked on this morning after getting out of bed and the first avy I seen was Popeye. Still trying to recover. I agree with the other poster, would look super cool with a Grudenite banner. Cousin Eddie was cool, too.

I have yet to see a shred of proof that this actually happened; personally I don't think there was a formal offer yesterday. IF arky threw out a formal offer it happened a while back and we are just now hearing about it.

Lemme say this again...this is a gut reaction to something THEY have heard...THEY want to APPEAR that they at least made the EFFORT to land him. That way WHEN WE GET HIM, and their fanbase goes into suicide watch, they will simply say "We gave it our best shot." to avoid being run out of town on a pig with pitchforks and flaming torches...

How do you know that he didn't do that?

The rumor is that they submitted an offer, not that there was a reply.

And he is neither legally or ethically bound to tell Arkansas anything.

Just a thought here but what if both UT and Gruden want to make it appear that no contact or deal had been made before Dooley was officially fired. What better way to do this than to allow AR or any other team to float offers out there. If it is their plan it seems to be working.:

Just went nuts for a while after the other guy was using my ava...but I'm gona have Jay Gruden it up ..hopefully today and stay with him

Good morning Grudenologists!

I believe, like many have already said, that the pigs are just covering with their fanbase so they can say "Hey, we tried".

I think if they were in actual discussions with JG, we would not have heard a word about an offer.

I am pretty sure WE have made an offer and where is public report about that????
