Hyams just said that a greater percentage of fans want Dooley gone than who wanted Fulmer gone. He said the only Dooley supporters he can find are a few that call his show

N after mizz those fans will be gone. IMO. I think the coaching gets worse because now they r just going thru the motion n as the season ends they will care even less.

Which I hate because that means we may not win an sec game..:blink:

Good question but remember that these are the same people that sold us Sal. Some DC will be looking for a lottery check in December and I can see Cheek and Hart looking for a way to save $5mil that is required to fire Dooley.

I had a dream/nightmare last night that I was watching TV and Gruden was being badgered by a fox sideline reporter regarding his coaching future. The discussion became heated as Grudes kept no-commenting. Finally, an emotional Gruden burst out that he was going to Cincinnati (maybe Marvin Lewis is finally fired?) I woke up in a panicked, cold sweat and asked my fiancé if I was just having a dream, as the experience seemed all too real.

I have a problem.

Hope to sleep better tonight. Every time I closed my eyes Troy scored again and to make matters worse, Dooley called another one of his useless timeouts to challenge the call on the field in the Ga and Ole Miss game and he lost the challenge. Who didn't know that ?
Can anybody imagine Dooley and Sal trying to stop Oregon next year? They will have 721 yds midway through the 2nd qrt. Hart might want to buy them out.

Might be Hart's intent. If Cheek isn't on board, Hitman Hart might be sitting back and saying "let's just see how small the crowd is this week". Might change some attitudes when the bottom line is affected.

"I think Tennessee athletic director Dave Hart is not convinced that the wisest move for the program would be to fire Dooley after just three seasons. I'm sure Hart has been in contact with all the big money people at Tennessee as well as the chancellor and is waiting to see how this season plays out. I do believe that if the Vols lose one of their final four games that Hart will make a move. But it could go either way if they win out and finish 7-5. Much of it will depend on who the Vols think they can get and who's realistically interested in coming to Tennessee. A lot of variables will be at play. The other thing to consider is that if Hart does bring Dooley back, it doesn't make sense to bring him back as a lame-duck coach of sorts. Recruiting would be a nightmare. So you almost think that Hart would need to give Dooley some type of extension if he does indeed retain him. It will be an interesting November on Rocky Top."
