I mean, why don't we just put a call in to Bill Belichick for that matter?
The conversation here today proves to me we BETTER get Gruden or else.
I've heard that argument.....it is a very dangerous one. I've been privy to most of the Gruden info from all sides. I have never bought into the theory that his not coming=somebody f'd up. There are too many variables (on Gruden's side) for me to reach that conclusion.
Hey, there are other guys that can be successful here but we all know this program needs a guy that can send shockwaves thru our fanbase and the nation. 10,000 of empty seats. Would Mullen's get this fanbase excited? Petrino would divide it all over again. Strong might be the best bet to go to if Gruden doesn't work.

Do you think Fridays meeting will have an affect on Gruden?
If Gruden says no (which hasn't happened yet) and the money is really there, then Stoops better be our first call. Strong has always been #3 on my list.
Petrino...please no...but I've consistently heard he is on the big board.
I agree with you on all points. I think if Gruden comes, it will be for the love of UT. Like you said. If he just wants back in the game and the money. NFL will be wide openHonestly, I've heard the deal is hanging on by a string. I'm in the camp that believes there may be too many NFL options for Gruden next year. San Diego...Philly...Dallas...places he could win with what he has.
I'm not trying to be a debbie downer, I just think these monumental changes:
1. Changing the AD/admin culture
2. Fundamentally changing your philosophy on coaches pay
3. Dealing with a lame duck head coach in the process
are hard to do overnight. If the first two changes are made, even without Gruden, UT fans will be big winners in the end.
don't post much. I've been watching this thread since jgii thread.
I feel gruden is a done deal (no inside info just what i think)
i think they are using the possibility of losing him or already losing him to get the votes they need at the bot. The powers that be can use this as leverage over cheek and his supporters to get what they want.
All of this is pure speculation on my part. I have no inside info at all.
Thanks also to those that do share what they hear.
Honestly, I've heard the deal is hanging on by a string. I'm in the camp that believes there may be too many NFL options for Gruden next year. San Diego...Philly...Dallas...places he could win with what he has.

I think the possibility of Gruden coaching under Jerry Jones are two fold, 0 and none.Honestly, I've heard the deal is hanging on by a string. I'm in the camp that believes there may be too many NFL options for Gruden next year. San Diego...Philly...Dallas...places he could win with what he has.
