Are you fronting the money? Easier said than done, my friend.
I heard him say that and in thinking about it he may be option #1 after Gruden. He would be available immediately and would be willing to sign a incentive laden contract that would benifit UT.
Honestly, I've heard the deal is hanging on by a string. I'm in the camp that believes there may be too many NFL options for Gruden next year. San Diego...Philly...Dallas...places he could win with what he has.
I'm not trying to be a debbie downer, I just think these monumental changes:
1. Changing the AD/admin culture
2. Fundamentally changing your philosophy on coaches pay
3. Dealing with a lame duck head coach in the process
are hard to do overnight. If the first two changes are made, even without Gruden, UT fans will be big winners in the end.
Are you privy to any of the talk that ESPN's exclusive contract means restrictions on coaching NFL teams to ease fears teams may have giving him the access he is given as a MNF analyst?
So Peterson is a bad choice in the bible belt cause he's into Scientology or Catholicism or whatever but a POS like Petrino would be ok? Lmao geeze!!
Haha amen. This POV cracks me up on Peterson. I'm not going to get into religion but the word hypocrisy comes to mind when it comes to those views on Peterson.
Also: Bruce Pearl.
Peterson would be an awesome hire but he's not going to come.
