Dont see Tennessee getting rid of coach so they can get further behind . I hope but don't see us getting a very big name like a Gruden. Eric Ainge said that Tennessee pursued Gruden but deal feel through. In other words he was saying they are looking at good solid coaches right now. It's hard not to disagree with him he knows way more sources than we do. I hope we do not go too cheap and never get back to being a sec and nationial power again.Wow. Reading Tony B talking points this morning is a little depressing. Tony said he could see hart pulling the rug out from under the big money and hiring someone on his own. Crazy stuff. SIAP.
The disconnect in this whole ordeal is fans looking at it from UT's perspective. I understand this is natural and is our biggest concern but there are other pieces to the puzzle that have to be wrapped up legally by both parties.
Sorry, yes I realize that. I was referring to the media getting a hold of the story. They haven't. We've been talking about it for a month. People behind the scenes will tell things to normal people they won't tell the media. And the media won't report rumor without some pretty serious corroboration.

Ok Ok Ok..... Wait just a minute. Many posters on here are saying that its logical to think that we may already have Gruden however he does not want to let anyone know because one, he wants to finish out Monday Night Football and two because there has not been an announcement from UT the Dooley was fired so technically there is not an open position (the thought here being that Gruden does not want to look like he going after someone's job). If it is assumed that Gruden does want to finish out MNF, does not prohibit him from accepting a coaching position at Tennessee. Now the second reason I do understand because there has not been an official termination of DD.
I think they want to work behind the scenes and have the next coach signed before making a public announcement on Dooley. The last coaching search conducted in public was embarrassing.
You can take any set of circumstances and fit them into your theory, whatever your theory is, in this case that Gruden is definitely coming. That's the beauty of a conspiracy theory.
If Dave Hart and Jon Gruden both came out and said Gruden is definitely not coming to UT, this thread would still continue to believe he is.
The only way this thing dies is when a new HC is formally announced. Until then there is no logic that can be used to stop this madness.
That's why you still see TV shows of guys hunting for big foot.
