Official Jon Gruden Thread VI

For your morning diversion and interlude from the madness, I harken you back to probably the single greatest painting of The Rock. That ever was and will be.

Remember where we were ... and where we're going.

Is this not contradicting the fact that everyone is saying Ainge is knowingly reporting a lie.

Not if he's been muzzled. He's new media. Two weeks ago he was the first local media guy talking in a positive direction about Gruden. It stopped cold last week, and he has spent time overly reflecting it since. Now he's making fun of "booster" talk.

The really funny thing is, when someone calls in who is obviously well informed Ainge squirms. It happened about 5 mintes ago.

You can take any set of circumstances and fit them into your theory, whatever your theory is, in this case that Gruden is definitely coming. That's the beauty of a conspiracy theory.

If Dave Hart and Jon Gruden both came out and said Gruden is definitely not coming to UT, this thread would still continue to believe he is.

The only way this thing dies is when a new HC is formally announced. Until then there is no logic that can be used to stop this madness.

That's why you still see TV shows of guys hunting for big foot.

Rumor has it that Dooley is looking for a few fans and some supporters.

so what is Ainge reporting? Rumor, opinion, or source-verified fact?

Or is he covering up?

Or, is he backtracking on his previously unfounded comment that Gruden is coming?

He is saying Gruden is not coming to UT. He probally said it 10 times today alone. Some on here are saying it is a smoke screen but I believe it is what he belives.

I poseted this earlier, but here is what makes sense:

1. The boosters are trying to get Gruden. If they do, he is our coach.

2. There has to be a contingency plan in case #1 falls through. Hart is leading this charge by talking to agents for other candidates, which also provides nice cover for #1.

I think that is very plausible but that is very different than what Basilio's blog is asserting.

I heard him it was funny. But vandy paying Franklin 3.3 million is impressive if true

The spilled paint bucket says it all.

My favorite is the Doolander one. Simple, well done, and effective.

Man, baby got roasted in here last night. May not see him back over here again. He's a recruiting forum elitist anyways!

It was a cherry oak desk (whatever that is). Get it right.

He also later said his son or sons were messing around on his account. Did something happen after that?

He can't look you in the eye when faced with facts and neither could the UTAD fund raiser gentlemen I spoke to last week when discussing Gruden.

I did notice that but just can't imagine he would risk his rep. Wouldn't he be better off to just not mention JG?

Hart plugged the leaks a couple if weeks ago. Like I said, this is not Hamiltons AD.
